"The property itself is exceptional, the gym, spa, pools etc are great. Restaurants were amazing. We may have gone in an off peak season so I am thinking the resort was understaffed as the cleanliness was lacking. For example our bed was made and towels replaced daily however the actually bathroom itself did not appear to be cleaned daily, glasses weren’t cleaned etc. we left towel on the Sun lounges at the end of the day and the following day they weren’t even removed. "Nice resort! Clean room, friendly staff, wonderful pools! Decent continental breakfast, and we loved the pancake machine! The only one thing. We booked 1 bedroom apartment and we thought it wil be a separate bedroom, but unfortunately it was a studio, with a wall pretending to separate it in the middle of the room. Apart from that, everything was very enjoyable."

"We had a lovely stay. The staff were excellent and the services were professional. However, the property was a little tired. The glass panel that separated the shower room and the toilet seat was too small/narrow. It's impossible not to have water spilled (overflowing) onto the bathroom floor. Parking was easy. Its only a 5 min drive away to the Port Douglas town centre."

"The property was so central to all our needs. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Apartment was perfect. All the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Walkable to shopping, dining and water activities. Small kitchenette for cooking meals with refrigerator and microwave if needed to store leftovers and cool beverages. Pool was perfect for relaxing or play. Nice grilling area if cooking outside is your preference. Would stay again!"

"The property is located on a nature reserve, so it very quiet. There are a couple of walks the stargazers is worth doing it is step access so to stay here you do need to be mobile steps to your rooms and to reception it is in the middle of nowhere so if your happy to have one choice of restaurant it is fine"

"Where to start!! Stay at the Silky Oaks Lodge was truly a dream come true. The staff is amazing and made us feel so welcomed and special from the moment we arrived. Our room was perfect - very clean and the mini bar was stocked with everything you could need. Our view was in the middle of the rainforest with river views and total privacy. We enjoyed time on the patio together and the bathtub was heavenly. Every meal was delicious. Such a dream!!! "

"Will continue to say. Love the area, love no kids, love the staff. Brilliant customer service. Cleaniliness rated lower only due to age of selected apartment that we stayed in and the climate (humidity). Sighted other apartments for future stays and these were immaculate. "Fantastic tropical stay! The property managers were so kind and full of helpful tips and information. The villa was the perfect size for my daughter and I. The pool was beautiful surrounded by flowers and trees. I will definitely come back with my partner next time we are in North Queensland. "

"This is a lovely resort but it’s tired and it has been very trafficked the rooms need an upgrade or even a paint furniture is groty and needs replacing and everything felt low exspecially the bathroom and toilet and couch was really low and uncomfortable the bedroom mattress needs to be replaced Customer service from staff was fantastic exspecially in the morning for breakfast the manager was lovely and onto every need you needed however the Day spa manager needs some customer service training...
