Great setting overlooking the sea. We had a Deluxe Double room with balcony which was great - weather warmer than expected so we did sit out on occasion. Not a lot of hanging space in our room with wardrobe and fridge/kettle/hairdryer in second half of cupboard, hence 4 stars. Maybe a few hooks by the door would have helped for outdoor clothes. All in all though the atmosphere was great and the room was lovely. Front desk extremely helpful and warm welcome. Dinner in the evening was great with good service. Get there early for the best parking spots!
Have stayed before and had a lovely spacious room but the room this time was literally big enough for the standard double bed.
This was fine for us as we were only staying one night but for more than that I’d book a bigger room.
Had a lovely time at the Continental nice friendly staff good breakfast in walking distance to shops
Right on the seashore some lovely walks
For me i would have liked a newer type of mattress for the bed as you get in the Premier inns.
Yes I would go back
We loved this hotel. The situation was great, staff helpful and friendly and the view to die for. Unfortunately, on the first night a group of campervans and parked in the car parking spaces at the front of the hotel overnight and partied until 2or 3 am so it was very difficult to sleep. Not the hotels fault and I guess a risk you take at a seaside resort. Breakfast was great and cooked to order and the bar staff very helpful indeed. Thoroughly pleasant stay.
Beautiful stay at Whistable, really enjoyed the property and the area. It was very hot when we stayed and no air conditioning in the room so we did have trouble sleeping, however the place is gorgeous and such a fantastic view. Staff were excellent too!
Very nice friendly hotel. Rooms a bit on the small side. Breakfast was a buffet and some items were cold

Room was small but clean, decor was really nice ,lovely towels , bed comfy , only gripe the chef serving breakfast could have smiled a bit more looked and sounded like he was having a bad day 😎
Great location, friendly staff and lovely breakfast included in our stay. It was very hot when we stayed and the rooms didn’t have any form of fan or air con so it got very stuffy in the night. Other than that, it was the perfect stay.
Unfortunately the chief was missing for 2 nights. Also they had not made any plans for my being lactose intolerant.
We had a lovely view from our room. Breakfast was good but no alternative for butter. Evening meal again was not as we hoped. Staff where very very busy but did all they could
Fantastic view from balcony, so very special being able to watch the sunset. The hotel gives good value for money, with breakfast included and a short walk to the harbour market.
It is quite an old hotel, so you can hear people moving around all night - if a light sleeper you will likely be disturbed. Bathroom could have done with a blind as the room got light at 5am which was a shame, otherwise a comfortable room.
