"The Beachside Resort is a great place to stay in Whitianga. We had separate bedroom and living rooms, along with a small kitchen, which was very convenient for a multi-day stay. "The house was well equipped to accomodate our family of 6 adults. Lovely location just 10 minute stroll to the township and beach. Estuary just a few metres away. Clean, comfortable house. Nice eateries nearby also."

We took the very quick ferry ride across the harbor to Flaxmill Bay ($7 return trip) and did a couple of hikes over there, which were enjoyable. There is not much of a town at Flaxmill or Cooks Beach Township. Whitianga seemed like a nice town,

There are good enough shops which I needed even it is a small town. Beautiful beach and nice local person.
