"We are just back from a two nights break at the ‘Derwent Manor Hotel’ celebrating three birthdays and we were completely blown away from the start to the finish. Debbie and Natalie who made us so welcome on arrival. There was eleven of us in the group and everyone was blown away with the quality of their rooms along with the quality of the food and service that we received both at dinner time and breakfast time. We all agreed that we’d had a great weekend and took our hats off to the staff that looked after us. None of us found a single fault with the weekend break and we will definitely look to book there again in the future as there is so much to do and see in the area. Thank you to management and staff for taking care of us."

"It’s a lovely cottage, spacious and homely, on a farm with view of fields, hills and sheep. It’s in a good location for visiting all the local historic areas. Hadrian’s wall, the Roman museums etc we even drove to Edinburgh on one of the days. "

"I really enjoyed my stay here. I was travelling for business so had little time for site seeing but the area was beautiful. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the food was amazing. Clearly run by someone who wants to provide excellent service. If I visit the area again this is the first hotel I will try to book. "
