The host was totally amazing, Ken and "Rasta" worked tirelessly to ensure that our stay was amazing. Ken transported us to functions and shared the food he grew on the property with us. Guests should know that the amenities are under repair and upgrade. Having said that, having your own private beach where you can go skinny dipping if you want, is amazing. The property is right on the beach, which as I understand it, is protected. The coral reef is almost a hand's breadth away, you can literally touch it. So many flora and fauna, huge majestic trees on the property, some of them with edible fruit. You can sit out on the veranda, upstairs or downstairs and enjoy the fresh sea air. The pool is breathtaking, always warm and clean and you can shower outside in the hot sun. Go into the sea in the early morning when the tide is out, you can practically walk straight out to the coral reef. In the evening when the tide comes in, the water is warm, very warm. Breakfast is always "all Jamaican," Rasta is fastidious when he prepares his Jamaican dishes, they must be done right. Sorrel Bay is right across from the Famous Sandals, you can see it from the bottom porch or verandah, or it's about 3 minutes walk on the road from here to Sandals. The difference here is that at Sorrel Bay, you can actually get sorrel juice and besides it costs a tiny fraction of what you can expect to pay at Sandals Resorts.
