Don't know if it was worth the hassle.
After a tiring, 10+ hours of travel, we went to the lockbox for the key. The box was empty. We called the phone number in the check-in instructions and went to the existing reservations branch. We were on hold for so long our phone disconnected. This occurred twice. We then tried the text line. No response. We called a third time and went to the “new reservation” branch. The phone was answered promptly. (Priorities, I guess.) The representative connected us with the local manager. He had us use a different lockbox and code. A key was present. We returned to the condo building. The unit number in our instructions was not on any door in the building. We again spoke to the local rep and he told us where the unit was located. It had a different number than the number given. Wouldn't that info be nice to have in the instructions? After approx. an hour delay, we were finally able to move in. BTW, the text was answered 2 hours later.
The condo itself was older but very nice. Furnishings were up to date and comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, etc. Condiments are sparse. The front right heating element on the stove only cooks on high. We did enjoy our stay at this condo aside from the very unnecessary check-in hassle. Management is poor. We will return to Whitefish but seek different lodging.
