The Space:
Welcome to Windmill Point Retreat, a true coastal getaway, where art and riverfront living come together in perfect harmony. This spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home offers everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Wake up in the king ensuite, where large windows provide breathtaking water views and golden sunlit skies. A walk-in shower complements this sanctuary. The second bedroom, perfect for family or friends. features two twin beds. This bedroom has an adjacent hall bath, with a tub and shower. A pocket door separates this suite from the rest of the home for added privacy. Both rooms are designed for comfort, with high-end linens and plenty of storage.
Step onto the balcony and take in the beauty of the waterfront—watch boats drift by, sip your morning coffee, or toast the evening sunset. Bring your drinks or dinner down to the water, or sit around the picnic tables (shared with other community homes). Get to know the neighbors! The condo is filled with original artwork, most created by the owner and many available for purchase, giving the space a unique and personal touch.
Located just steps from the Windmill Point Marina, you'll have easy access to kayak and paddle board rentals, fishing charters, and water activities. Ask us about our sailing charter complete with fresh, locally inspired food from a top local chef served onboard! A popular Tikibar is within walking distance, offering live music, tropical drinks, and fresh seafood. Plus, a brand-new public fishing pier and beach are coming in 2025, making this spot even more ideal for waterfront relaxation.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire condo, and shared access to waterfront. Chairs can stay on the beach during your visit, but please remove other items brought to the back lawn or waterfront at the end of the day and return to outside closet and under condo.
The Neighborhood:
Virginia's Northern Neck is a peninsula surrounded by unique and beautiful marshes, creeks, the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay. You'll find many opportunities to explore all the nooks and crannies and get out on the water.
Close to several mid-Atlantic cities yet ideally located waterfront with views of the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay in the small town of White Stone, this vacation rental is the perfect place for family or friends. Launch complimentary kayaks right from the beach!
Not a paddler? Relax on a comfortable Adirondack chair with your toes in the sand and a good book, enjoy eagle sightings and jumping fish, or sip on a drink and consider how fortunate you are to be here.
For dinner you could whip up a meal in the well stocked kitchen, or head to the River Market for takeout lunch or dinner. From fresh bread, pastries, and cookies daily to soups, sandwiches, salads, pizza, ribs, crab cakes, crab boils, and barbecue, they have options everyone is sure to enjoy. Be sure to enjoy our many local restaurants nearby as well, including Adrift in town, owned by a local who trained at The Inn at Little Washington, a renowned restaurant and Inn near the Shenandoah Mountains.
In the evenings, your entertainment can be as simple as stargazing, or walk over to the Windmill Tiki Bar for drinks and dinner.
When you're ready to explore the area more fully, you will be surprised that this area offers many cultural opportunities. .Visit the Rappahannock Art League in Kilmarnock (where the owner shows her work) the Allure Art Center in White Stone, or Arts on Main in Gloucester. Take in a show at the Lancaster Playhouse, pick up fresh farm items at local farmers' markets and small shops like The Old Farm Truck in White Stone, and grab some house made donuts at Chesapeake Donut Shop.
For rainy days, head over to Compass Entertainment in Irvington. This amusement center has indoor games, putt-putt, a climbing wall, a movie theater, a bar, and a restaurant. Kids of all ages love it!
You may also enjoy exploring the Northern Neck's many designated "Trails," such as the Oyster Trail, the Wine Trail, the Water Trail, the Artisan Trail and, not to be outdone, the Coastal Waterfowl Trail.
