"We stayed in the Imperial Suite and it was absolutely beautiful! The hotel is incredibly lovely and historic, furnishings are ornate wooden pieces - plush and comfy heavy old sofas and armchairs… we were thrilled with our room. The dining room was closed much to our sadness as we were looking forward to a meal there. We were directed to an incredible restaurant 3 blocks away in an old mill and weren’t disappointed with either the food or the outdoor seating right on the river and we were pleased to be treated to the sound of the falls as we ate. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and has his personal residence there - we knew upon discovering that fact that we had stumbled onto a gem and we would return in a heartbeat if we’re ever in the area again seeking accommodation. Highly recommend the Imperial Suite!"

"Beautifully and comfortably remodeled hotel with exceptional service! Loved the cold plunge / sauna and wine bar offerings. Had a sweet swim in the Lake from Barnet Park this morning, followed by shower and sauna. Fabulous shower, comfortable beds, and a propane stove for warmth and ambience. Also truly dog-friendly and lovely—unlike many other hotels that have made us feel like we were sleeping in a kennel with our dog. Would definitely stay here again when driving across Ontario. Thank you"

"The stay was very much convenient and it’s just beside the river. And in Just 2 minutes distance to dining, gas stations…etc. "

"The place was small and cozy. We didn’t need anything bigger! We only slept in the main bed and it was a comfortable sleep. The waterfront is weedy but still nice to sit on the dock to soak it in. The kayaks are a good touch and there are hiking trails across the road. The property was nice and quiet. The house was equipped with most things. I’d suggest bringing it if you think you’ll need it. More longing chairs would have been a nice touch, especially down on the dock. Communication was slow and poor with the owner but we didn’t require much. "
