Stunning, newly renovated Dutch Barn conversion in the Shropshire countryside

Enjoy beautiful views of the Shropshire countryside in this stunningly converted Dutch Barn. Full of original character and industrial feel all with a luxurious finish - steel frame, domed ceiling and metal stairs to access. Backs on to the Shropshire Union canal on one side and the amazing Fenn's, Whixall & Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve on the other.

Perfect for walkers and those wanting to enjoy the peace and quiet of a rural setting, while only being 10minutes drive from the vibrant market towns of Whitchurch and Ellesemere, which boasts a lovely lakeside restaurant.

The barn is newly converted for 2023, with a large kitchen area including oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher for self catering; high spec bathroom with large power shower and a big open plan bedroom (with giant bed) and comfortable lounge area with TV and WIFI, a cosy flame effect electric fire for the cooler days, all leading to the generous balcony overlooking the countryside and canal with outdoor table and chairs, perfect to enjoy a morning coffee.

Ideal as a writer's retreat, artist's inspiration or for walkers who love to enjoy a friendly, rural setting. The barn is on owner's own property - we're on hand if you need any assistance, but after your check we will give you space to enjoy your surroundings.

Kitchen is kitted out with pots, pans, cutlery, crockery to make you self sufficient and all guests will receive a 'welcome pack' with some goodies to enjoy during your stay.

The beautiful space has been finished in a way to celebrate it's industrial past; with steel frames showing and sympathetic colour scheme. We also proudly show artwork by local Shropshire artist, Karen Ulph on our walls.

Please note, conversion is of an original Dutch Barn, so access is via stairs only.

Relaxing rural location
We’ve just had a great 4 night stay at this very comfortable and modern converted barn. The view from the balcony through the double bi-fold doors is extremely relaxing with donkeys, cows, horse and pheasants in the adjoining fields and paddocks. Although rural, Whitchurch and Wem are just a short drive for amenities. Parking is behind a private gated entrance. Highly recommended - in fact we’ve already booked a return visit.

Just perfect!
This property is just amazing. I was looking for a few nights away to relax and do nothing with beautiful views and surrounding countryside and that's exactly what I got. The check in process was easy and there was even a little welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch. The owner came to check everything was ok and talk through a few things, a lovely guy who just gave me the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. The property feels brand new, it's clean, has a fully kitted out kitchen for those self catering nights in, the bathroom is big and clean and some lovely large soft towels were provided. Good WiFi and a super comfy sofas meant I could relax watching a film whilst looking at the view, open the bi fold doors and see and smell the lovely countryside. The balcony is just perfect and it all feels very private. This place is lovely and I would recommend it to anyone. Having approachable helpful hosts also helps to make this the perfect place to stay. Thank you. I will be back.
