Nestled in the beautiful town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coastline, Flora is a recently refurbished ground floor apartment with style in abundance. Situated within a traditional Victorian townhouse, you’ll find high ceilings throughout to create a cosy and striking holiday home. Sleeping up to four guests, Flora is dog friendly and perfect for family staycations, romantic retreats and getaways with friends.
The Space:
Upon entering Flora, you’ll be impressed with its bright and modern look. Recently renovated to the highest standard, the apartment boasts premium furniture and luxury interiors.
After a fun day at the beach, retreat to the living area with your loved ones for a cosy night in. Snuggle up on the sofas and turn on the flat screen Smart TV to keep up with your favourite shows. Beautifully styled, the living area has a navy and light brown colour scheme.
The kitchen is ultra stylish with navy blue cabinets and white worktops. Perfectly on trend, it also has white brick style tiles which complement the space beautifully. You’ll have everything you need for your self-catering stay as Flora is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave, oven, hob and toaster. There are also the added luxuries of a washing machine and dishwasher.
The dining area includes a traditional wooden dining table with four dining chairs. Ideal for family meals and dining with friends, there is ample space for all of your party.
You’ll find two bedrooms at Flora. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed with a comfy mattress and plush bedding. With cosy pine green walls and lamps above the headboard, this space is tranquil and modern. Pops of additional colour and luxury are added through soft furnishings.
Along the hallway is the second bedroom. Boasting the same high finish as the rest of the apartment, the room has comfortable twin beds with lime green throws and patterned cushions. A truly cosy space to relax, you’ll enjoy your sleep at Flora.
A double sofa bed can also be made up in the second lounge upon request, increasing the occupancy of Flora to six.
Unique in style, the family shower room has white tiled walls and a striking patterned, tiled floor. The space boasts a walk-in shower, a wash basin and a WC. An ensuite bathroom can also be found in the master bedroom.
Outside you’ll find a gravelled patio area with outdoor furniture. Ideal for drinks in the sunshine, this is an added bonus with the apartment.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Flora are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle.
Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Flora per reservation.
Please note that there are CCTV cameras at the rear parking area, front door and side of the building externally, and the internal foyer internally. These are in place in the interests of guest safety and security.
The Neighborhood:
Flora is located near all of Whitby’s attractions, and you’ll find restaurants, shops and pubs a short walk away.
The apartment is located on the West side of Whitby. You’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.
Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
You’ll find restaurants, pubs and shops just in a short walk from Flora.
Whitby train station is nearby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
