Lovely hosts clean friendly hotel, comfy bed breakfast was excellent with lots of nice touches fresh fruit and lots of choice. Would definitely stay again
Amazing. I fell very ill and was taken to hospital. The way Bob and Anita looked after my wife was the pure definition of going the extra mile. They extended our booking foc until I could travel and made sure she did not worry too much. I cannot thank them enough. Amazing breakfasts, very clean modern room and very friendly and caring hosts
Planning visiting Whitby this is the place to stay
Located on West Cliff in Whitby in a nice quiet area only a 5 minute walk into the town Abbotsleigh is lovely place to stay, room was lovely, very clean & comfortable, little extras like chocolates and bottles of water in the room. Our hosts Bob & Anita were very friendly and couldnt do enough for us, breakfast was very very tasty made with good quality ingredients, highly recommend and we are planning to stay there next time we visit Whitby.
Paul and Anita were excellent hosts. We enjoyed amazing breakfasts, and the room was well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. We also had a sea view from our room.
We stayed for 3 nights in August and could not have asked for any better - a first class guest house. Paul & Sharon were fantastic hosts, the room was lovely and well appointed, and the breakfasts were amazing!
I'd highly recommend the Abbotsleigh for anyone considering a break in Whitby.
Paul and Sharon greeted us walmly. The room was airy, spacious and comfortable with an ensuite wet room. The breakfast made by Sharon was first class right down to the homemade ginger curd. Will definitely recommend.
This hotel is beautiful the decor is very tasteful and with all the special little personal touches you don't get in a chain like fresh made bread and roses in your room and home made delicious cakes.the owners are so welcoming and helpful the best hotel we have stayed in in whitby x
We were warmly greeted at Abbotsleigh by hosts Paul and Sharon, who immediately made us feel really welcome in their home. The room was spacious and spotless and the wetroom shower was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and our breakfasts exceeded expectation. Every day we were treated to a home baked goody which we had in our room with a cup of tea. The entire stay was memorable and we highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
Paul and Bev
Paul and Sharon went the extra mile, sharing information and ideas of where to go for food and visits in area.breakfasts were awesome and on return in the afternoon home baked cake was waiting to enjoy. Looking forward to going back next year.
Friendly, and welcoming guest house. Sharon and Paul were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They even make their own jams and breads. They are knowledgable of the, area and happy to give information and answer questions. The Ammonite room was well decorated, bright and large. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was a large fully tiled wet room. The location is good, about 20 minutes walk into the centre. I would definitely recommend this guest house for stays in Whitby.
