The quaint village of Sandsend is only four miles away and is an ideal place for all the family with its award-winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. This part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. Lovely cottage with everything we needed. A great quiet location but you definitely need transport as there is very little within walking distance, that said we would recommend it and will definitely be returning. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The only thing that affected my stay was that the WiFi was down which impacted what I had planned to do. Then after a very windy wet night the TV lost all signal but it didn't come back. Luckily for me there was a large choice of dvds available. The sound system was amazing, if the TV was wired in that would make the sound better from the TV. Otherwise I had a great time and just a few little niggles which didn't really impact my enjoyment of my time here. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage was very easily found, comfortable but importantly, it was very clean.
The cottage was very easily found, comfortable but importantly, it was very clean. We self cater on a regular basis and it is not uncommon to have to clean glassware, cutlery, crockery and pans before we use them; not in this case. The area is very quiet and peaceful and while shops are not on the door step, it is not a long run into Whitby. The weather was not great during our stay, in fact on our first full day of holiday we never ventured out of the cottage. However, we did get out and about afterwards and thoroughly enjoyed the area The steps down from the cliff top to Runswick Bay were difficult for two oldies, without walking poles, to negotiate after very heavy rain the previous day. Staithes, Sands End on Sea and Robin Hoods Bay all very attractive and interesting areas. There is a superb butcher in Sleights.

We loved Seatoller. A wonderful home for the week, perfectly equipped for our family’s needs. The view from Cleveland Way was stunning too. The only thing we found difficult with our dog was when the turkey or peacocks arrived unannounced! Thank you for a very memorable stay.

Beautiful cottage with everything we needed for our family.
Beautiful cottage with everything we needed for our family. It’s beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The cottage is located 2 miles from the main road between Whitby and Staithes on a windy cliff top. It’s ideal for driving to various places in the area and we’d love to return.

I can highly recommend this cottage.
I can highly recommend this cottage. The whole place is furnished really well and it feels like someone's actual home, rather than being filled with a collection of cast-offs which is sometimes the case with holiday cottages. The kitchen is really well finished and had everything we needed. The cooker is electric which proved a bit of a challenge but that was the only very minor issue in an otherwise perfect environment. It is also lovely to be able to bring a dog to such a lovely cottage. There are no immediate amenities in Kettleness but everywhere is an easy drive, and there are walks along the Cleveland Way immediately on the doorstep. I would highly recommend and would be happy to return.
