"On a whim, we decided to take a night away. Barely 90 mins away from Akl, and less than an hour from the beach at Raglanwe found an absolute gem & nature retreat in beautiful rural Ngaruawahia. Host Gaylene's attention to detail & delightful gardens made it easy to relax straight away. We would highly recommend & hope to return soon. "

"Great place to stay especially if you’re travelling with a dog. Property and grounds are very nice and would recommend as a relaxing getaway. The property is well appointed with the small things like adequate toilet paper, condiments and coffee pods. Would stay again."

"Lovely place to stay, good outdoor space, everything was nicely laid out for us. The only issue was that the shower is tiny and water pressure to it is not great. And with the warm weather it was used quite a lot. "

"I loved this area, having stayed by the port the last time. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The front desk was helpful and friendly. They had umbrellas in a stand for guests. Up the street are lovely restaurants, shops and pubs."
