"This property was very peaceful and had beautiful views. The decor was lovely however, unfortunately there were a few things still waiting to be fixed at the property which let it down. There is no number on the letterbox and we arrived late at night and had a lot of trouble finding it. I had to dust down cobwebs from ceilings above beds and clean mugs before we could use them. Mareen gave me accurate directions immediately when I booked, I saw I had a message through VRBO (I don't have the app), and I promptly ignored it.When it was time to drive to the place, I couldn't find directions (don't get ahead of the story folks). "This was a brilliant place for us to stay on a trip with three adult sisters and their kids. The set up of the rooms (the bunk room comes off one of the double rooms) works for family but means lots of traffic through that room. Two toilets is great. The yard is brilliant - lovely and private, nice to sit outside with a big group."

"Kathryn and Kev are absolutely delightful people, so accommodating. I needed to make change to our booking and they were able to do this without any problem. The house is absolutely beautiful and in a lovely location. The only thing I would change is the eco toilet due to the wind. The house is so well equipped everything you could need is readily available. Thank you for your hospitality we loved our stay in Whangarei "

"A wonderful place to stay - thank you. Location to the beach was excellent. Everything was so clean and tidy. 4 generations under the 1 roof. 9 weeks old to 90 years old. Nice and easy for everyone and the trampoline was great for Miss 3 and 8. So easy to get to the beach. Thank you! "

"The parking lot is very spacious and the garbage is comfortable. Also, there was a Ruakaka stream in front of the garden, so it was good as a healing point. If there is a heat pump, it will be a recommended accommodation for four seasons that I really want to visit even in hot summer and cold winter."

"Lovely bach, excellent location. Would love to make a suggestion to have some pedestal fans available to use at night for sleeping, it’s such a nice warm bach but unbearable for sleep…….we wished we’d brought our own fans. Also Bachcare sent us the wrong lockbox code but we’re lucky they answered the phone with the first call and rectified the problem. Thankyou to the owners for renting out their home so people like us can have a summer holiday at the best location!!"
