Ocean Apartment is a Grade II listed building, it dates back to the 1700’s. It has bags of old charm and character, but tastefully renovated into a superb 4 bedroomed apartment situated right in the middle of the town centre and just 50 yards from the beach - it has the best viewing window for watching the world go by up the Esplanade.

The property is deceptively huge, and is made up of two old properties. Circa 1500 sq ft, the living area on the first floor is extremely spacious.

The property boasts original fireplaces and no less than 12 sash Windows. The property enjoys panoramic views up the Esplanade. They can be enjoyed from the armchairs in the curved bay window in the dining room. As to the Lounge which has views down into the town centre.

The property has 4 bedrooms, these are situated on the top floor, the apartment also has the added use of a double of bed in the lounge area. The modern contemporary bathroom (also situated on the top floor) has a large free standing bath situated in the middle of the large bathroom, it also has large walk in shower, along with a wash basin and WC.

The first floor has a large inviting dining area, with bay windows giving you access to views up the Esplanade and into the town. The open plan design leads you into the large kitchen area, this is very well equipped with Fridge/freezer, Double Oven, Microwave Oven, Dishwasher, Washing Machine and Tumble dryer. The large lounge also leads off from the dining room, this too has bay windows. On the first floor there is also a separate washbasin and WC.

Weymouth is situated halfway along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site on the Dorset coast. Weymouth Harbour is home to pleasure boats and private yachts, and nearby Portland Harbour is home to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, where the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games were held.

Fantastic location for group stay
I booked this property to celebrate my 50th with 7 friends. From the initial booking Louise was so helpful and responded straight away to any queries I had. This property accommodate us all without feeling crowded. The 2 separate reception rooms were great and very spacious. There is just one shower and bath, but this did not cause problems with our party of 8 women, just a bit of planning was needed. The whole property was clean , presentable and well equipped. Towels were provided, but I would recommend taking an extra one as this was quite small and only one per person provided. The location of the property was amazing ! Within a few minutes to the harbour, beach, restaurants and shops. This did mean that there was some late night and early morning noise outside but due to the location, this is expected and wasn't a negative in my opinion. We never needed the car throughout our stay. We parked in the railway station car park for 4 days at a cost of £16.40 and it was only a 5 minute walk away, we dropped luggage off outside the property first. I would highly recommend this property to families and groups and I would definately book again.

The ideal property for anyone in the area
The location is close to most nearby attractions and 30 seconds away from the ocean front. The property is well maintained and clean but make sure to organise use of the shower is coming with a large group. Overall there is little to nothing wrong with the property except maybe a few items that seem a little flimsy.

Fantastic location, very clean. Great space in the apartment especially for the children. Only a few small issues, the shower doesn't drain properly and needs something to stop it being so slippery. The stairs definitely need a gate, we had a 3 year old with us and the stairs are very dangerous. A couple of the beds need better mattresses. We would definitely come back as long as there is a gate for the stairs. Much better than a b&b especially as you can cater better for the kids and there is space for them to play on a rainy day.

Lovely place to stay
We’ve just come home from a lovely week at this accomodation. Perfect location opposite the sandy beach and plenty of space for the 8 of us with everything we needed. Only downside is the parking availability, on arrival it took over an hour driving around to park one of our cars but once they were parked we left them for the week as everything is so close by, this definitely wouldn’t put us off returning again!

Amazing place.
Honestly the best experience, the communication was absolutely amazing, felt so welcome. The property is perfect, it was amazingly clean and spacious we couldnt of asked for a better property. Its so convenient being in the centre of everything and 2 mins away from the beach. We've had the most amazing weekend and would of happily stayed for the whole week.

Perfect Location
The property is in an ideal location for a large family with 3 children under 3 and a Chocolate Labrador!! It is extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. We were blessed with the weather, hot sunshine everyday and with the beach just 50 yards away made it easy with the kids. An abundant of restaurants, grocery stores, seaside shops all within a few minutes walk away, we will definitely be looking to book this accommodatin again in the near future.

Clean large apartment
Just had a few days break in Weymouth . Stayed in the ocean apartment. Very clean large apartment good for family or group of friends . There was 6 of us Which we thought was perfect as only one bathroom but 2 loos. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable and had everything we needed and was In the centre of Weymouth. So didn’t necessarily need a car to get around once there . The street was quite busy and nosy late at night and early morning but we took ear plugs after reading previous reviews so wasn’t really a problem . We loved the harbour area . Overall apartment was great value for money. Louise the owner was on hand for any questions we had. 👍👍

Great apartment in the town centre, close to the beach and all facilities.
Great rental property, which met our needs, some noise at nighttime due to town centre location, which was to be expected. Apartment would benefit from double glazing to reduce noise, but other than that, all is good. Facilities great and comfy king sized bed. Perfect for a short break.

Great place for a family holiday
Got to the apartment before check-in, so we parked in a car park and went for refreshments. The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious for our extended family of 9 + dog. The sofa bed was comfy and so were the other beds too. We found the labels dotted around the apartment helpful too. Finding a spot to park was tricky (we had a dashboard parking permit and two virtual ones.) as they cannot be used outside the apartment . We decided that we would not use our cars as it may prove difficult to get a space again! The two bucket seats were in demand as it was so nice to have a drink and watch the world go by. Well behaved dogs were welcome, our sons Labradoodle enjoyed his holiday too, dog friendly pubs/cafes/part of the beach too. Even the dogs are friendly! Bit noisy at night, but as previously said, it's to be expected in the centre of a busy town. Everything in so near, shops , beach and pub/restaurants. We highly recommend 'The old rooms inn' - fab food at very reasonable prices and we used the convenience of the Wetherspoons across the road for breakfasts. Catch a bus to Portland Bill - beautiful place. (bus stop a few minutes walk away from apartment) The host was most helpful, when the electronic door stopped working, I rang and she got her husband to ring back and talked us through how to get in - Thank you very much.(10:30 Sunday evening!) Highly recommended place to stay and visit.

Sandcastle heaven
We had a lovely family holiday with 4 generations present. The youngest had a wonderful time building sandcastles on the magnificent beach. Some of our party also enjoyed a couple of trips to Portland Bill one on hired bikes and the other, probably the quickest way to get there on jet skis. Its a lovely quirky place to stay and great for watching the world go by. The only drawback is that it can be quite noisy at night with the late night revellers.
