Lakeside Cabin, Cozy Family Pet-Friendly, Beautiful Views, Free Dock & Boat Slip

  • Cabin 12 is a lovely two-bedroom lakeside cabin with a front porch and a back deck overlooking Lake Almanor and Big Cove on the peninsula of the north shore. Located in Almanor Lakeside Resort, just off Peninsula Drive, it is only a few steps from the water. The living room has a 55" flat-screen Smart TV with DVD player, air conditioner, and gas fireplace. Kitchen includes large dining table, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, microwave, programmable coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, electric tea pot, mixer, blender, electric fry pan, dishes, pots & pans, silverware and utensils. Vacuum cleaner, broom & mop and hand vac are provided for quick clean ups. One large bedroom has king-size bed with desk and flat-screen Smart TV as well as sliding glass doors to the deck with a lake view. Second bedroom has queen bed and flat screen TV. There are ceiling fans in each room. Bedding and towels are provided. Hair dryer provided in re-modeled bathroom with glass shower. Lake view deck has gas grill, table & chairs, and small fenced area for pets. Small and medium/large sized dogs will be considered for a non-refundable $50 fee. Covered front porch has table & chairs and two easy chairs. A free slip is provided for your boat between April 15th and October 31st so you won't have to re-launch during your stay. The resort includes lawn area with picnic tables.

    Resort is conveniently located across the street from Peninsula Market with coffee shop and deli and next door to the Red Onion Restaurant and Bar.
    We collect a 9% Transient Occupancy Tax plus a 3% Feather River Tourism Marketing District (FRTMD) Fee payable to Plumas County Tax Collector.

Cabin was cozy and deck has a great view of the lake. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, and cabin is walking distance to a market and some restaurants as well. Very close to two resorts with boat rentals. Small swimming area but no real beach. The lawn is lakeside. There is no air conditioning despite the listing, but we visited in late May and didn't need it as the entire resort is very shaded. The hosts are lovely and the check in was very easy. Would stay here again.

We booked it because of the location. My guys love to fish and this was lakeshore and I can see them from the window if I wanted to. Karen and Clint were the most present owners I’ve ever experienced. There to make sure we were welcomed, addressed with persistence any issues we had (tv got fixed) or that others had near the property, some people might be put off but we were delighted. Had great tips on who to chat up in town on the best fishing spots (not everyone likes to give that away) and where to eat, all the locals were friendly, we even went to Easter mass in town. Guys got lucky and caught a couple of fishes, so in addition to all else mentioned, this sealed the deal and we’ll probably be back.

Cozy Getaway

Sincerely enjoyed our time here. Cabin was adequately stocked and the beds were comfortable. A great dock for the boat and a private launch. Perfect for a boating trip. The fishing’s was great. Karen was very nice and responsive. Can confidently recommend this place to anyone.

Great location!

This rental is nice because of the location and also having two bedrooms. Many of the small cabins in this area only have one bedroom. It was a perfect spot to work remotely as well. Highly recommend.

Best location for the best cabins

My daughter and I really enjoy this cabin. The location of it is the best. It also comes with a boat slip, which is very convenient. I love eating meals on the back deck. And just in case you forgot anything there’s a wonderful little market right across the street.

We loved staying at your cabin and our dog loved it even more. More dogs than people at the property. We fished and boated and walked to dinner and the market just like our lovely hosts told us. We are so thankful to have found this fun little cabin online. I grew up visiting the Lake Almanor peninsula as my grandparents lived here, and this was my first time back as an adult and I brought my adult daughter. We were so cozy and comfy, we are able to cook aand paddle

Christmas weekend

Came up with the family for a couple days during Christmas weekend to get away from the city. Nice and quite. Cabin was perfect for the three of us and our Boston. Right on the lake. Would be a perfect spot in the summer for water hobbies. Definitely would stay again.

Great summer getaway

We love this location, and the owners are amazingly responsive. This isn't our first time there... we come annually. The property is always clean and well stocked. The resort is quiet. Perfect for families. Boating, fishing, hiking are all nearby. I can't say enough. We'll be back!
