"The Josephine room was amazing. We booked it for a week over Christmas with the goal of having a place where we could hunker down and cook a nice meal on the 24th and 25th. The place was perfect. It's a short walk into town and the Christmas market, or you can walk along the canal, or even head into the hills for a hike which we took advantage of on a couple occasions. "We had a wonderful stay at Chambre d'Hotes L'Ancienne Ecole. It is a beautiful period property in the lovely town of La Wantzenau. Katia is an amazing host, with passionate knowledge of the Alsace area. Nothing was too much trouble, with a tasty French breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area."

Easy to find. located in/near a vineyard. the host was fantastic and did everything possible to help make us feel welcome in the French countryside. "À partir du moment où vous avez en tête que c’est une chambre et non un appartement, qui faut traverser un couloir pour aller dans la salle de bain et toilette ou vous devez passer devant une porte transparente qui donne chez le propriétaire, qui peut sortir a tout moment quand vous êtes en petite serviette sortant de la douche ou en nuisette quand vous sortez des toilettes par exemple, le séjour s’est malgré tout bien déroulé. "We were touched by Chantal's, Yves and Timothy's exceptional hospitality: The self prepared dinner with them was the highlight of our day! The next day we relaxed in the newly furnished spa. And the stylish decoration of the interior with combination of old building with modern elements made our excellent impression complete. All of this comes with a fair price-benefit ratio. "Walkable from the train station and into the city centre. Facilities in my room were excellent, I found the microwave especially useful. Breakfast was basic and good. Staff friendly and helpful. "
