"I selected the San Giorgio Villas because of its stated proximity to the Meteora rock formations, and I was not disappointed. It is, I believe, the absolute closest property to Meteora, literally at the foot of the giant pillars. We booked the Triple with Meteora View, and the pillars were right outside our window across the street. Breathtaking! My husband called the room “monastic”, which, given the Meteora monasteries, seems appropriate. It was simple, but absolutely beautiful with wood accents and some ornate decorative touches. The beds actually ended up giving us one of the best sleeps of our trip thus far. Breakfast was served to each table with a selection of bread, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cake, coffee, juice, etc., and was ample and delicious. One thing to note that might make this place even more appealing to some travellers is that it has a kitchen and large table where you can prepare your own meals. The staff was lovely and very welcoming! Highly recommended!"

"This Hotel is very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Staff is Corteous. They serve full breakfast and it is good; eggs, meats, cereal, and pastries. I liked the Vintage style of the Hotel. The city center is 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes in car."

"Staff are so friendly and the location is nice to travel around Meteora. There are some restaurants around the hotel. It's a bit far from Kalambaka central by walking, but you can call a taxi for a good price range."

"*Alsos* It was a last minute decision to visit Meteora after our trip to Santorini got cancelled due to earthquakes. We read about this place which provided us with a beautiful view of the rocks and the monasteries and decided to book it. It was a very pleasant and comfortable stay right in front of the rocks and the owners were quite helpful. The room is comfortable and quiet. It is steps away from the footpath which leads directly to the monastery of “Holy Trinity”. Note that it is about a 45 minute hike with a steep elevation gain. Your other option is to drive right up to the foot of the monastery. The breakfast was also good with a spread of cold cuts, cheese, eggs, fresh juice, and a variety of bakery products and cereals. If you are pressed for time like us, this is a great option instead of eating in the city which will add another 30 minutes. Overall, a wonderful experience."

"The hotel has a charming theatre theme. The staff are very friendly. The location is outside of the town, where the road to the monasteries passes by. So it is five minutes walk from the town centre, yet without the traffic when you want to drive up to the rocks. Highly recommended!"

"We’ve been traveling in Greece (return trip) for a few weeks. This may have been our nicest stay. First, a lovely room and setting. Second, the professionalism AND warmth of the staff. In particular, one member of our party needed a little help and she was well taken and genuinely taken care of by Doupiani House. Also, excellent breakfast."
