It was tight but we all fit. Bathroom sharing worked fine too. Most meals were out and about but I was able to make breakfast the morning we left for everyone. We ate in shifts which worked too. It was a good stay. "

"Overall the property is conveniently located, pool is out back, amusement park and lake are within five minutes, grocery store within 10. I'd echo what other reviews have said. Upstairs bedrooms are hot, oven was so dirty on the bottom we couldn't use it, we tried and it started smoking and we had to turn it off. "Amazingly clean and updated cabin with everything you could need. Close to quiet public boat launch making our time on the water even more enjoyable. Located in a quiet Neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Perfect area for morning walks, great views of the lake and easy drive to Okoboji . "

"We stayed here for a family reunion. The pictures make it appear much nicer, bigger, and cleaner than reality. When we walked in, none of the AC window units were running and it was sweltering hot. If they have someone checking in, you’d think they would at least turn that on for them? It took almost 12 hours to cool down and could barely keep up during our stay. "The Rookery was great! The hosts have thought of everything. We didn’t go without a single thing, they had all dishes and appliances you need, board and card games, movies, easy WiFi access and use on the TVs, blankets, chairs, and much more. We arrived on a Friday evening and left Sunday morning. We came prepared with food so we never even had to get back in the car until we left. Perfect stay 10/10 !"
