"This was a lovely find in the centre of town. Prices on Hotels.com were extremely competitive than booking directly with the hotel! The “standard room” was large and airy as was the bathroom, which included a rainfall shower over the bath and a handheld shower too! Complimentary tea/coffee/milk sachets were included and an iron with ironing board and hairdryer were also in the room. A lovely modern feel, was lively in the town until about 2am being a bank holiday wknd, but we enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night & on a week night, it was very quiet in the evening. Ideally located for shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes and even a small park open until 9pm. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Only downside was parking! We have a disability blue badge, so was able to park for 3 hrs outside hotel. Of an evening you can park outside from 8pm-8am free of charge, but longer times you will need to use the towns car park."

"We were made to feel very welcome. The room was well equipped but had character. Continental breakfast was available or a cooked breakfast could be ordered. We ate our evening meal in the pub. We were well looked after. The menu was more than traditional pub fare with plenty of specials. The portions were generous, attractively served and delicious. We would definitely stay again. "

"Fantastic stay! Will definitely be back! The staff couldn't be friendlier and more accomodating. The room was spacious and very quiet. I didn't even hear my neighbours, which is very unusual in a hotel. I couldn't believe it when I opened my eyes in the morning and it was gone 8am!"

"Excellent value for money. Clean spacious rooms. Very helpful staff. Just be mindful, the parking area is small. If you come in very late, may not get space to park, but there is parking at very cheap rate nearby."
