A Little Piece Of Colorado Heaven

This is the place where you can get away from it all in true mountain comfort.

Leave your worries and troubles behind, but don't forget your camera! This mountain retreat is a quaint little spot on 35 acres ready to allow you to feel complete relaxation. You will be surrounded by amazing pine trees with beautiful mountain views. The town of Westcliffe is only 8 miles away if you want to take a stroll through some of the quaint shops or grab a bite to eat.

You can take in the full mountain views and enjoy every minute of your vacation relaxing in full splendor of the warm crackling fire while enjoying an adult quality beverage.

The cabin is designed with a living room and full bath on the main level with complete kitchen. The loft has two queen size beds and if you plan to take more family, the couch folds out allowing two more people to tag along.

The front porch is a great place to enjoy your coffee or free time taking in the magnificent views.

Only one hour from the nearest ski resort for those winter fans and 30 minutes from rafting for those of you who love the summer. The Royal Gorge Bridge is just a short drive away and there are several other option available.

Such a wonderful retreat!
Staying at this property was a delight! The observatory was incredible (we joined a star party!) and were in awe with the area. Very communicative hosts. We would love to stay again!

Great cabin
Very quiet neighborhood, nearest neighbors about a quarter of a mile. Incredibly dark skies. Very clean inside. Wild turkey came right up to the front porch. If you like exploring around, check out Beddows Mountain 6/10 of a mile hike up behind the property. Beware of property lines though. If you go straight west and do not cross nearby property it's all good.

Cabin with a view!
Cabin was a very comfortable place to stay. Loved the views from the balcony and front porch. The living room and kitchen had good space, decorated to country comfort. Best mattress we've slept on in quite some time. Left feeling completely rested even though we did a lot of hiking and walking while visiting. Highly recommend cabin!

Cabin was exactly as described. Deer came in for a drink every morning and evening. Super quiet and peaceful. Some of the northern Sangre peaks visible from the front porch. Very convenient proximity to Westcliffe. Highly recommend.

Lovely Mountain Cabin
We enjoyed our stay immensely. It does look like the property has a small issue with rodents as there were droppings in several places including on the kitchen counters. We cleaned all of that right up and it didn't otherwise bother us. Spectacular evening skies.

The cabin is so cute! The pictures actually don’t do it justice. We had so much fun exploring the forest around the cabin. The kitchen is nicely stocked, the beds are so comfy, and everything was perfect. As we were packing the car to leave we saw some wild turkey walking by. And the star gazing was phenomenal!! I cannot say enough good things. We loved every minute of our stay! Thank you so much!!

Relaxing ‘cabin in the woods’ mountain retreat
This was a welcoming and quiet getaway cabin that felt like a home away from home. The beds are comfortable, the fire toasty and cosy, and the kitchen well-stocked with everything you’d need to feel like you’re in your own place. Everything was impeccably clean and organized. Perfection.
If you are looking for a quiet mountain retreat to relax and enjoy nature, don’t let this one pass you by. Well appointed kitchen, outdoor cooking available (when not under county burn restrictions), comfortable beds, well stocked spice cabinet and everything you need to enjoy the area. The host had top notch communication with us the entire stay and if we ever need to book lodging in Westcliffe again, you can bet it will be here. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

The Perfect Retreat!
Beautiful cabin! Clean, well-equipped, quiet, and spacious. Amazing views all around you, yet surrounded by woods making it easy to enjoy nature with kids. It was a nice surprise to see all the wildlife in constant movement right outside the window coming in every morning for a drink and again in the everning. We spend long days enjoying the fireplace, taking long walks, and observing wildlife up and close. The owners were very accommodating and responsive and the welcome basket was a special touch to an already charming place. I HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a true gateway and a chance to enjoy Colorado's best!

Just what we needed!
This place was perfect! It was so peaceful the loudest thing we heard was the occasional fly buzzing by! The cabin was well stocked we over packed thinking we would need all the things but Shelley didn't leave anything undone! Every little detail was attended to down to the iced beer mugs in the freezer just waiting for us! Any questions we had Shelley was quick to answer! The property is well kept , very clean, and very cozy! We loved reading the note book from previous guests so we left our own comments there as well! We highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay again! If we ever get the chance to buy our own cabin we want it like this one! Thank you Shelley for delivering a little piece of Colorado heaven!

Anniversary Trip
My wife and I were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. We live in Missouri but have spent many of our anniversaries in the Colorado Rockies, including our honeymoon. We liked the rustic cabin. It was secluded but easily accessible. Deer and turkey visited us each day (3 day stay). Loved sitting on the upstairs bedroom deck Star gazing. We like that the road to the cabin was not a through road so the only traffic was the neighbors that were further down the road (rarely heard them. The driveway to the cabin was just long enough to be out of sight of the road. We would highly recommend the cabin. Note: bedroom is upstairs, bathroom downstairs.

We love It here.
The property was absolutely amazing. In the Livingroom there is a pullout couch. Having a family with little ones we were worried about them making it to the open stairs case halfway asleep; Sleeping downstairs eased those worries. We had a fire every night and felt very cozy in our home away from home. I also love the raised kitchen counters and bar where we played game after game of battleship. My Husband I enjoyed the sunsetting in the evening and a cup of coffee every morning on the balcony outside of the bedroom. Nearby Elk and being able to swim in the pool near town made everything perfect. Our last day we went around the house and took pictures of all of the hidden mice statues we could find. Thank you for the memories!!

Mice & Extra Cleaning Fee Charged
This area is absolutely beautiful and fun for adventuring! Our stay started off well, but we had troubles with mice in the cabin all week. We lost a fair amount of groceries and woke up to mice nests in shoes, etc. We just dealt with it until I received an offensive msg from the owner on the last day accusing us of having an animal urinate and decimate making stains on her rug. That put us on the defensive. We absolutely did not have animals in that cabin, and we were not responsible for the stains on her rug (we flew in from Ohio and rented a car for a week). We were out adventuring daily and barely ate in the cabin. She charged us for additional cleaning, which was unfair. When this occurred, we mentioned the mice issue, to which she took no responsibility, and said she had no control over. 🤔
