Welcome to “Forest View” - your home away from home! This property is a 10 min drive to Terre Haute, ISU campus and St Mary of the Woods campus. 2 bedrooms, 3 beds plus rollaway and pack and play crib, 1 bath with tub/shower combo, sleeps 6-8 people (We suggest 4 adults maximum) This renovated bricked barnhouse is tucked away off the beaten bath with plenty of privacy but is still a short drive to several local attractions. Guests have plenty to explore as Forest View is near Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College campus, Green Valley Campground & Fishing, L&A Family Farms, The Sycamore Winery, Lazy L Lake, the Wabashiki Nature Preserve trail and more!

There is plenty to do and see nearby but if you feel like staying in we offer a family-friendly countryside atmosphere with amenities such as a full kitchen, 3 Fire TVs, free WiFi, a private back yard, an iron fire pit and charcoal grill with seating and a pool table! Stargazing is a must as there are spacious views of the night sky. We invite you to come enjoy our beautiful home and make your visit memorable! Guests should note the 2nd floor and upper deck are off limits as they are being remodeled. No work will be done upstairs while guests are staying overnight.
The noise level in the area is similar to campground noise. You will hear SXS, Trucks, and road noise at intermittent times. There is also train traffic down the hill so guests should expect to hear an occasional horn sound or rumbling in the distance.

Barn house renovation
We did not stay due to we felt unsafe conditions. There was an open with lock on a staircase going to an upstairs. So we had no way to verify if the upstairs was empty or not. Because there was even an outdoor staircase to the upstairs that some could enter and then come down the staircase We also did not find the house clean. So we deemed the house unsafe and left. The owner stated he would give us a full refund.

Perfect little home away from home!
Forest View was a cozy home with a beautiful scenery surrounding the property! We were greeting with a family of deer as we were pulling in and the house itself served us perfectly as we visited family and friends! The pool table, darts and board games were a bonus! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and we’ll definitely be back when we stay next!

Peaceful place!

Our solar eclipse getaway
The house was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean, and extremely well-stocked. Our host gave us a recommendation for what turned out to be a perfect place for us to view the solar eclipse. Looks like a lot of renovations have been done. It will be amazing when they get the kitchen floor and a few finishing touches done. Would love a table/chairs more suitable to playing games. A handle of some kind to get out of the shower would be helpful. Thank you for the fast and easy responses! We loved meeting Stevie!

We were in Terre Haute for NXR (Cross Country Race). This house was perfect for our needs. It was 20 minutes from the course and from other activities that we chose to do. The owners were very accommodating and were very responsive to messages! Overall it was a great place!

Overnight visit to Saint Mary of the Woods
We were in town for an event at Saint Mary of the Woods College and had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home. Everything was very clean, communication was excellent with very accommodating host, and the beds are the most comfortable any of our group have ever slept on at any VRBO. I look forward to staying in the future and hopefully seeing the finished second floor! Do not hesitate to book this lovely home.
