"We rented this property for 2 weeks. It was part vacation/visit son at Auburn/work remotely part time. The rental was very clean. It was a bit closer to the owners home than we expected (this was the reason for the couple of 4 stars) but they did a great job of making it as private as possible. The deck is on the opposite side of the owners home and they have a privacy curtain at the end of the front porch that blocks the view of the house as well. For the most part it was very peaceful. "Called the house guest when traveling to see if the check in time was central or eastern time but couldn’t get in touch with anyone. Went to the property after 4 on central time and entered the house and the security alarm went off. Was able to find a number to call in a Vrbo email to contact someone. The police arrived, and eventually got the alarm turned off. Several hours later I received calls from the host guest and property owner apologizing and asking if everything was okay. After that...

"We enjoyed our stay, 2 nice size bedrooms downstairs,but the loft is only accessible with a pull-down attic type ladder. It would be ok for older children but not safe for kids under 10 or so. Could be stocked better in the kitchen if you’re planning on doing a lot of cooking. The beds are FIRM, which I loved ! Also, no dishwasher. Even with these few inconveniences we will still stay here again. It was very peaceful. "
