Note from Owner: "In 1904, our family ancestors first came to camp beside Lake Michigan. To get here, they had to row a boat the last mile or so of Pigeon creek and across Pigeon lake. Absolutely charmed by the beauty of nature here, our family made this a regular summer event. After a few years, the family built a cottage with a group of friends to share. Now, four generations later, the present cottage built in 1959 is still the destination for family gatherings. This is an absolutely wonderful place for children, teenagers, and families to spend time in the summer with so many activities such as swimming, sunning, body surfing, walking on the beach, hiking in the dunes, campfires and cookouts, watching the sunset, or visiting attractions in the areas of Grand Haven and Holland. Our family welcomes you to visit and we hope you enjoy spending time here in this beautiful setting as much as we do."

Grand Haven is located on the shores of Lake Michigan. We are a quaint, little beach town recently named the "Happiest Seaside Town in America," by Coastal Living Magazine. Here, your family will find Grand Haven State Park, which was voted in the Top 10 Best Beaches in the world by Travel+Leisure Magazine. The boardwalk stretches one and a half miles, beginning at Chinook Pier and ending at the iconic red lighthouse. Historic, affordable, and amusing, the trolley is continually traveling throughout the waterfront and downtown areas dropping you off at any desired location. At the end of the day, grab a blanket to sit on and head to the Waterfront Stadium where the whole family can enjoy the Musical Fountain. This synchronized lights, water, and music show has coined the title "World's Largest." This free show plays nightly at dusk throughout the summer. Lucky for you, all of this is just minutes away and waiting for you to revel in.

Holland is located on the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa. Here, you can spend your days at Holland State Park where there is plenty of room for family fun along the white, sandy beaches. You and your family can take an excursion to Nelis' Dutch Village, DeKlomp Wooden Shoe Factory, and Veldheer Tulip Gardens. These places will bring you back in time to experience the Netherlands of the 1800's. If you find yourself in Holland the first week of May, be sure to take a look at the over 6 million tulips blooming throughout the city during Tulip Time festival, which was named the "Best Small Town Festival in America" by Reader's Digest Magazine and received USA Today's "2016 Best Flower Festival!" Downtown Holland is known as the "Great American Mainstreet." Make sure to spend a day downtown where an abundance of shopping and dining can be found, as well the funky street performers who will surely entertain you with their acrobatics, magic, music and more! When evening approaches, you can return to the beach to watch the sunset while roasting marshmallows over one of the many fire pits found along the sandy shore. From the award-winning downtown to the exceptional beaches and Dutch heritage, your family will fall in love with Holland's small town charm and big city amenities.

Great Spot
Had a fantastic stay at this cozy beach house in Port Sheldon! Our group of 4 adults and 5 kids had enough of space and enjoyed the beautiful beach right outside. The house had all the amenities we needed, though we spent most of our time soaking up the sun on the beach. Convenient location with groceries and restaurants not too far away. We can't wait to come back

Great getaway!
The checkin and communication leading up to the stay was wonderful! We had a great time. The house is cozy and has all the amenities you might need and the proximity to the beach can’t be beat. Highly recommend! We will definitely be going back.

Serenity Beach
Typical, traditional, Michigan cabin a short sandy walk from the Lake. We shared one side of the duplex with our adult daughters and the other side held our son’s family. It was somewhat rustic (no dishwasher, no clothes washer), but very relaxed. We love the swimming, the cool air, and the beach walks.

Beach Week
Overall we had a good stay. Having two separate places was not always convenient for eating together as space was not for twelve as much as it was for 6 and 6. The beach is beautiful and quiet even on the holiday weekend. Some mattresses were better than others. Lots of fans so not having air conditioning was just fine. Loved the hammock circle.

Good but not perfect
First the good: clean as a whistle. Great location. A good setup for our group. Cons: inadequate kitchen linens. Two bar rags for each kitchen. No dish towels. No dish pan. The mattresses were waaay past their prime and insufficient bed linens. We should have figured it out ahead of time but there’s no ac so bring fans . The weather was perfect so it wasn’t a real problem for us but if it was hot it would’ve been awful.
