This cabin is exactly what my son and I needed for an amazing long weekend! The access to the New River State Park was perfect. We will be back for sure!
Location, location, location! A small stream on the property and within a pleasant walk to the New River for swimming, sunning or tubing. Perfect water conditions for kids of all ages.

We loved our stay in West Jefferson! There were plenty of outdoor activities to do. Our kids loved exploring the creek and roasting marshmallows in the firepit. We had beautiful weather and ate many meals on the deck.
My wife and I had a wonderful time in this cabin. It was everything we were hoping it would be for our weekend getaway with our pup. The location was great because the cabin was easy to get to off the main road and only 10-12 minutes from downtown West Jefferson. Highly recommend this place! We will be back.
To some everything in one word. Amazing!.. the location was excellent for a family get away. Bob was very attentive and was quick to respond to any questions I had. Excellent customer service and an amazing experience.
Cozy cabin is n the woods. All the conveniences of home. Beautiful property with creek along the drive. Short walk or drive to the new river shoals access. Close to West Jefferson. Nice small town with shops and restaurants
This was our second time staying in this house. We stayed here several years ago but we were pleased to see the new owner had made a few upgrades. The outdoor furniture was great because we sat outside every night until bedtime. It was great getting away from the heat into the cooler mountains we love.
Beautiful private property. A lovely babbling brooke runs beside the property. 15 minutes from West Jefferson city and 30 minutes from Boone NC. Bob was prompt responding to inquiries. Very personable. We would like to revisit.
This is our 4th stay at the little cabin. Despite constant rain for 5 of our 8 days, we made the best of it. Love the area but were unable to hike and float as we usually do. My young adult kids learned to antique. Thanks Bob for working out small problem quickly.
serene setting creekside.lovely cabin with all the essentials.couldnt ask for more.
Our Golden Retrievers had a good time walking the trails.just a short walk to the New River State park.
West Jefferson just 15 mins.
Our host Bob dropped by to say hi.Very nice person.
We will return next month to go blueberry picking near Lansing.
Overall, the property met our needs. It was decorated very nicely and was in a nice location. We loved the access to the New River across from the driveway! And the driveway was in good shape and not crazy like many we’ve been on. The bed was super comfortable! It seems like this is an older home that was renovated. The biggest issue is the bathroom; we suggest gutting it altogether, installing a nice shower and a chair height toilet so a person doesn’t feel like they are sitting on the floor with their knees smashed into a bathtub every time they sit down. Flooring in the cabin is many different levels which seems somewhat of a safety hazard, and the light switches are like playing a game of hide and seek. A map of those would prove beneficial to future guests. We found all but the one for the kitchen so we called the owner and he was very kind and told us where that switch lives (behind the toaster). The price was right for this cabin. If the owners wanted to, we feel like with some more upgrades: bathroom, floors, some other details, in-depth cleaning inside and outside, the rates could justifiably be higher. Just a thought.
