The hotel is about 10 minutes from the old town. Quiet location, big car park, not noisy. Rooms are a good size, clean, aircon for the hot days. We had room 14, balcony just above the entry way into the residence area. You can open the window if you wish. Breakfast was good, bread rolls, ham, cheeses, yogurt, fruit salad, boiled eggs, salad, juice, tea, coffee. Dinner is lovely, plenty of salad to eat first, then great German food. Its lovely to walk around the residential area and see views. Need a car to get there. We stayed 4 nights, very enjoyable, lovely owners and staff. Highly recommended. Good base to travel to Wurzburg, Rothenburg, Miltenburg and the area. So pretty, lots of history and culture.

Perfect place for a stop over or longer stay.
Very friendly welcome. They keep their place very clean, and the quality of douches, bathroom, toilets etc is above par. I would definitely come back.

We arrived early but as our room was ready we were shown up as soon as we had registered, although food not avalible to 5.30pm, we were served with much needed cold drinks and coffee later, helped to our room with luggage and given vouchers for local points of interest. Breakfast included in room price and although buffet was exceptable, warm boiled eggs, ceareal, yogurts, breads, fruits, cheese and meats, jams and butters also coffee or tea on entering room, table checked frequently to make sure nothing had run out, Very friendly management with a reasonable command of English

The owner was great. He gave us good suggestions with things to do and even got out maps to show us where to go. Room was modern, well equipped, including a fan as it was really hot weather, and spotlessly clean. lovely bathroom. Good breakfast and good location.

Fantastic hotel. A real gem and what we love about Germany. Not the Marriot and nor do we want that style of accommodation. Large double room, extremely well finished and clean. Great hosts and great food. Never keen to give 10 out of 10 but this one deserves it

We stopped there for one night, I got the idea to visit Wertheim when my route was diverted through this wonderful little town. We booked a 3-bed room, it was quite big, everything was clean. Had a nice beer and lovely soup during the evening, and a very generous breakfast in the morning. If you stay here add a few hours and walk around the town (add another 1-2 Euros for parking there, it is a bit far from the hotel if your time is restricted)

Only stayed one night, as travelling through, but would have been very happy to stay a week. Really friendly welcome, very good food and very good value for money.

Very simplistic and dated
We spent one night at the Gasthof Hotel. It was clean but really basic and outdated. It looked like it hadn't been remodeled since the 60s. The beds were very uncomfortable and there was no air conditioning. For the price, it was not worth it. It is family-owned, which is nice. The town of Wertheim is really charming with some nice  hotels.

Gasthof hotel is a small bu very nice, clean with European charm. The surrounding is peaceful and serene, the price reasonable, and the breakfast buffet was good and healthy. The one man stuff was friendly and helpful. I truly love the hotel.
