"I returned to Blue Elk with family and friends after spending the New Year and having a great stay in one of their suites. This time we chose a smaller room as we only stayed for one night (room 211). Everything was great as the first time, except for the VERY noisy A/C device. It felt like you had your grannie's old truck running next to your bed. It also needs some fixing on the thermostat, as even though it was set to 68 degrees for the night, we felt like being in a sauna. Only the morning...

"Was great for staying close at a decent price within walking distance downtown! Rooms were very clean. However, walls are very thin. You can literally hear your neighbor having a casual conversation. The room next to us were up until 2 am talking, so we couldn't sleep. Our friends we went with stayed there in a room as well and said they had issues with the same thing. So be aware"

"We liked the walkable location to downtown, would have like to have known the breakfast was a bag breakfast and the fireplace didn't work."

"Dog friendly and you can walk right to the park from the hotel. Staff was very friendly, clean room, property and breakfast area. "
