This place is amazing. The cabin is beautiful, cozy, welcoming, clean, organized and more! The perfect place to relax and enjoy time with friends and family. There is nothing you will need other than food and clothing. We cannot wait to go back!!!

Cabin Stay
We enjoyed staying at the cabin! It was clean, quiet, and conveniently located a short distance from historic Wellsboro. The owners also provided updated suggestions on local hiking trails, which makes the cabin a great place to stay for anyone wanting to enjoy the PA Grand Canyon. Highly recommend!

Peaceful, scenic getaway!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this property. Everything was as described, and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive leading up to and during our stay. Excellent proximity to hiking trails and vistas with beautiful views of the PA grand canyon. A quick drive to the town of Wellsboro, with some great restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

Peaceful, tranquil amazing log cabin
Beautiful log cabin, well maintained and peaceful getaway. Marianne thought of every detail. From the wonderful shower to the amazing kitchen. Our favorite times were relaxing in front of the fireplace or sitting around the bon fire. Thank you so much for sharing you're beautiful home with us!

This is an amazing property! Not only the cabin, but also the property. Marianne meeting us there and showing us around was a huge help. We loved the Town of Wellsboro. The cabin is so well stocked with everything we needed. So quiet and peaceful, yet close to town with plenty to do in the area. We would recommend this rental to everyone!

Beautiful location!
My family stayed at this gorgeous cabin in the woods near Wellsboro PA. The scenery was gorgeous. We had a beautiful fire pit with all the wood we needed supplied. The cabin was very spacious with great decor. Everything was in working order and impeccably clean! A new internet system was just installed and our phone and tv worked super fast. I would recommend this location. It’s peaceful and relaxing but near several attractions!

Wellsboro Mountain House
Beautiful house inside and out. Marianne provides everything you need for a vacation. Quiet location in the mountains. But only 15 min to town. The leaves were starting to change color and falling from the trees. Weather was perfect. Needed heat at night/early am the fireplace for heat added to the Fall feeling. Saw deer, turkeys and woodpeckers.

Perfect place to get away from it all
Remote enough to satisfy the desire to get away from it all while still being close enough to everything that you may need. About 15 min from Wellsboro for groceries and restaurants. About 30 min in any direction from lots of hiking trails. Also about a 30 min drive to access points for the pine creek rail trail for biking. House itself has a big open floor plan on the main floor and comes stocked with everything you need. There is a wrap around deck for grilling and relaxing. Communication with the owner was very easy. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Repeat visit
We were at this property in October last year and decided to return this year. Leaves were awesome even though we had a cloudy week. We travel with our very well behaved dogs. They love this house and the surrounding area. People in town are very nice to chat with as in tge rest of Tioga County. Wellsboro is super chill, we found some new restaurants on our return w/ some new ones scheduled to open in the future. Marianne is a great host and very quick to respond with any questions you might have. If you want to go out for the day and board your pups, we highly recommend Grand Canyon Veterinary in town. They have an attached kennel, very knew and clean. We put our crew into doggie daycamp both years for a daytrip to Corning NY. Great little town, cool glass museum! Enjoy your stay

The best Thanksgiving
My family rented Marianne’s beautiful mountain home for Thanksgiving. Bold move to rent someone’s house to cook in, right? That’s how stocked and prepared Marianne is as a host. We had more than enough pots, pans, and dishes to cook and eat without having to wash a single item. The layout of the home is perfect for entertaining with bar seating as well as a long table. Marianne’s interior design skills are unmatched. There is not a corner of the house that is not skillfully decorated. The large shower, fluffy bath towels (which are now in my shopping cart for my own home), fireplace, and layered LL Bean/Ugg bedding add to the feel of a cozy mountain home. As a host, Marianne is so welcoming and ensures her guests know she is just a text away. She is thoughtful about what her guests might need while enjoying their stay, down to the k-cup and q-tip. We look forward to returning in the spring to use the outdoor space! Thanks for having us, Marianne!

We absolutely loved staying there. Or boys (two golden retrievers) ) had the best time. The porch wraps all around which I loved. We used fire pit and BBQ. Went to local parks and the Grand Canyon of PA. Lovely Mennonite store not far. Must go there! Highly recommend….

This is our second stay here. Great quiet location near Wellsboro. Clean and beautiful, we had a great time. Took a day trip to the wineries around the finger lakes, only a little more than a hour away.

Perfect Getaway
This is a wonderful house in a perfect location if you want to stay off the beaten path but be close to so many things. The house is big and roomy, is in great shape, is very clean and comfortable, and has everything there you need for a stay. We saw a black bear from the house and saw deer and roughed grouse on the property. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked on the Weber charcoal grill. Marianne was there when we arrived and gave us the low down on everything we needed to know. She responds quickly if you contact her. We will be looking forward to returning for another trip.

Silence is indeed Golden
You don't realize how much noise everyday life throws at you until you have a true opportunity to step away from it. Work, commuting, Zoom, social media, texts, FOMO, it is RELENTLESS. This property seemed like the perfect escape for us to disappear with our pups and it did not disappoint. The house and grounds are all well maintained. Marianne puts alot of thought into what a guest might need, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, etc. Communication was always quick and easy before arrival and with the few questions we had during the stay. As nice as it is to enjoy some solitude, the town of Wellsboro is just a 15 minute drive away. Great little downtown with shops and good selection of eateries, plus a supermarket for cook at home options. Add 15 mins more and you're in Harrison park at the Grand Canyon of PA. Plenty of options for hiking at all skill levels. Lastly, we did put our dogs in the kennel at Grand Canyon Vets in Wellsboro for the day and headed to the Glass Museum in Corning NY, a 45-minute drive and well worth a visit. The kennel is only 2 years old, really well maintained and a great staff (* 5 out of 5 dog bone recommendation!) One caveat to note is the internet at the house can be a little spotty if you're a truly wired person. You might have to take a drive into town to see the latest TikTok video. Or you can bring some books and guitars and disconnect like we did. There are plenty of games and DVD's too. Additionally, we would suggest grabbing a paper map of theTioga County area. GPS will drop out for miles along with the cell service due to the mountains. If you're old like us, you'll be able read the map just fine. If you're young make sure you take a video for posterity of your co-pilot. Trust me, it will be a funny memory to look back on one day. Safe travels wherever you roam and may the four winds blow you safely home.
