Poor communication from host
While this is a nice place in a nice location, I would not recommend staying anywhere run by this host. When I arrived at the unit, it was 8 PM, and after a long day, my partner and I were looking forward to eating dinner and relaxing. There was supposed to be a key in the lock box for us to enter the unit. There was no key in the lock box. When we called customer service, someone gave us another location to check, but the lockbox didn't open there, and they did not have the correct code. We had to wait outside, eating cold pizza in the car for quite some time until someone was able to come and open the unit. The person gave no apology, had no key for us, and gave no indication as to when we might receive a key to the unit, leaving abruptly after opening it. The next morning, when we wanted to go out, we had to leave the unit open, so that we would be able to get back in upon return. This meant packing up all of our stuff and taking it with us. Someone finally came around noon to give us a key, and I have no idea if it was the host or a maintenance person as this person also offered no apologies for the inconvenience. I requested a refund via the verbo messaging system, and have yet to receive a response from the host. I don't know how to contact the host directly as this was hosted through Vacasa, and I am awaiting compensation for the considerable inconvenience. I would not recommend renting any units that go through Vacasa as the customer service appears to be terrible.
