Hood, this luxurious home is prepared to take all your breath away with its large, cozy fireplace, stunning vaulted ceilings, and three spacious bedrooms plus a loft. Equipped with a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances to whip up everything, from full-course meals to quick snacks on the go, a gorgeous eight-person dining table, and an outdoor entertaining space with a hot tub, this home can easily host groups of families and friends.


With the home being located in Mt. Hood Village, it is within close proximity to many outdoor attractions such as snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking! For those looking to forgo mountain adventures, there are restaurants and shopping nearby, allowing guests of all ages to find something to enjoy. During snowy seasons, pull up a chair next to the beautiful stone fireplace or grab a cue and challenge your loved ones to a game of pool at the private pool table located in the basement! Foosball will surely be added to your activities list once you see the home also has a private foosball table! It's safe to say this magnificent home has everything one could need to have a memorable vacation getaway!

Great Place for a family.
We enjoyed the house that was older but clean and well furnished. Great location by the water, plenty of space for the group and a nice, large playroom downstairs. We enjoyed our stay, thank you for hosting us. Will be considered for future stays.

Old growth cabin
My family loved being out in the woods after a big day of skiing. The salmon River, was very relaxing and we enjoyed the fire pit. It is a great place to entertain family and friends.

Awesome House on the River
It is a fantastic place! Hours of fun in the giant stream behind it, great golf course within a mile, and perfect for a large family! Loved the fire pit, the outside deck, the location! Easy drive to Mount Hood and a great grill on property plus fantastic near by restaurants!

This is a comfortable home with open, sunny floor plan and a stream through the back yard, a great kitchen, and lots of room. We look forward to staying there again.

Quiet place in the forest!
We loved this house! Beautiful, spacious cabin style house on the river. The kids loved the game room. Comfortable beds, hot showers. We had a lovely dinner out on the patio looking out at the River. Peaceful, quiet.

This place is fantastic all around. Very clean with plenty of comfortable furniture. Great view of the river and access for fishing when it’s the right season. Easy drive to the mountain. Way bigger than I pictured as well. Could easily have room for a few couples and children with the rooms and loft in addition to a great game room in the basement. Will definitely be on my list to stay again.

Absolutely beautiful!
We were attracted to the house because it was the right size for our family, with room for the kids to play downstairs. The pictures of the yard and river out back didn't do the scenery justice! The moss covered trees, ferns, and old chimney gave the outside a charming and woodsy feel that was exactly what we were looking for. It was the perfect place for our wedding trip. Thank you so much!!

Good place fir abig family
We enjoyed our stay to celebrate a milestone birthday. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The loft was a hit with the little ones. And space for everyone to stretch out and have fun. We were disappointed that there was no kindling small enough to start a fire. And that meant we couldn't roast marshmallows outside. Otherwise we had a good time and enjoyed the space.

Great place!!
The home is beautiful, we enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was the combo to the door would not work. We called in and they gave us the owner's code to the lockbox which gave us access to all locked owner closets. Being I have STR I did not unlock the owner's personal closets, but someone else might would of. This is just a fyi.

Lovely getaway close to Mt. Hood
Overall, it was a very nice house with everything we needed for a few days away from home. All three bedrooms had comfortable beds with nice lighting, closet/dresser space. The loft was nice for our kids to hangout-which had a TV and extra blankets. We were able to make a fire in the fireplace upstairs/downstairs which added some nice ambiance. The downstairs was fun to hangout and play Pool along with the Foosball table. There is a couch/chair to relax and watch TV. The hot tub outside the downstairs back door was perfect to relax in with a temp of 104 but you could adjust temp if you liked- they also had beach towels available at door to use. The kitchen was big and spacious. The appliances were good but I would recommend updating some of the pans and utensils. They did have a toaster over but it would be nice to have an actual toaster. The ice maker in freezer was broken (had a sign on it stating broken and to not use) so luckily there was a bag of ice left from someone previous. There was lots of leftover spices, oils, Ziplocs, foil and other random non perishables in cupboard left from previous guests - which was nice just in case you needed something. The recycling (red bin) that was listed to put recycling in we actually found outside in the back shed. so we brought it inside to use. We planned a day to go sledding with our family and decided to go to a free spot instead of ski bowl tubing. - so it was amazing that they had sleds in the shed we could use!

Great House But Cleaning Company needs to change
We loved our stay at River Hutte. The loft was wonderful for kids and we loved the open living room and all the sitting areas. We did however have issues with the cleaning company and informed the rental company as soon we we got there and we’re pretty disappointed in their response. The dishwasher was packed with dirty dishes that hadn't been rinsed, I swept up at least 10 fries between the kitchen and dinning room floor, the table in the basement had cup rings and was sticky and the basement stair, door to the garage and floor were covered in a brown sticky solution. Disappointed to go somewhere to relax and end up cleaning for a good 45 min.

Fantastic house!
We had a lovely long weekend. The house was very clean and well appointed; it wasn’t clear in the listing, but there is a coffee pot. We were pleasantly surprised to find a hot tub here as well! The location was perfect for a friend’s trip. We couldn’t get down to the river exactly because of mobility issues, but if you have sturdy shoes and good knees it shouldn’t be an issue. Overall we had a great time and were very comfortable!
