Relaxing Getaway on Mt Hood - Right on the River

Comfortable cabin on Mt Hood, in Welches, right on the Salmon River and directly across the street from golf at The Mt. Hood Resort. One level, no stairs. Two bedrooms, two full baths and a patio and deck to relax on and take it easy. Main bedroom has a Queen. Guest bedroom has a Queen plus a set of bunks. Sleeps 6, plus two large couches in the living room.
Linens included, as well as towels and firewood for the warm and cozy wood stove. New Washer & Dryer, Microwave, Cable and wireless internet included.

Quiet propert right on the river
What a lovely place! Very clean, quiet, and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The sound of the river was so peaceful and calming. We loved our stay!

Great way to unplug and relax
We had a great time. Really enjoyed having a fire in the woodstove and the sound and view of the river were so calming. Was a wonderful stay, will keep this home in mind for the future for sure.

We stayed here for two nights. Even though it was raining, we enjoyed our stay here very much. Very cozy and comfortable. Loved the mattress! :) Thank you for letting us stay!! We enjoyed the sound of river, and we’d like to be back in summer.

Cozy mountain retreat
We had a great time! The weekend we stayed was stormy, but we made a fire, played board games, and watched the river and wildlife. Very relaxing!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The sound of the river just beyond the back deck was so peaceful and relaxing. The location of the property was fantastic for getting outdoors and exploring the greater Mt. Hood area. The home was extremely comfortable and well kept.

Peaceful getaway
Arrived late in the evening and awoke to the most beautiful deck view of the river. The house had all the feels of a cabin getaway, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our simple Thanksgiving dinner. Took a nap in the hammock listening to the water, we will absolutely be back!

The place worked very well for us with lovely green trees all around and great deck overlooking river. Beds were excellent; I wish I knew who made them. Would happily stay again. Mt Hood was lovely but overly crowded at this time of year. Everybody wants to be in this beautiful area.

Great Cabin in the woods
This property was a great cabin. It had that lived in relaxed vibe with all you could need! Games, clean linens, River view, cooking and baking items. Truly a little gem off the beaten path. We would def go back for longer. Very relaxing.

AMAZING STAY!
Our family had a wonderful time together at this amazing cabin! It had everything we needed and then some! We were able to cook many meals with everything provided and many stores minutes away! We even got some snowfall and went tubing up at the mountain which was really close too!! Getting up in the morning and having a cup of coffee on the lanai with a breathtaking view of the river was the best!! Such a peaceful place that we hope to be able to return to!

So comfortable, so cosy, so welcoming. Incredible spot right on the river; the trees, the scenery... perfect Fall in Oregon setting! Sparkling clean, and everything was so well thought out and thoughtful. We especially enjoyed the woodstove, it just made the experience! Comfortable chairs and beds, nothing left wanting.

That River's Song

Welches Riverfront property
The house was super cute and very clean. The back patio overlooked the river which was amazing! My only thought would be, it was extremely hot when we were there. I wish they would have maybe a couple of window A/C’s that we could have used. It’s not a complaint, just a suggestion as going forward. Other than that, perfection!

We greatly enjoyed our brief stay here. The house is right on the Salmon River, which we had a full view of from the deck in the back of the house. If you're looking for a peaceful stay close to nature but not at all primitive, this place is great. The house is equipped with everything you need, and then some - we lacked for nothing. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and the entire house was neat as a pin. We hope to spend time here again someday.

Wonderful stay
It was our first time visiting Oregon and we enjoyed staying at this peaceful and comfortable cabin. It is clean, fully stocked and everything is labeled. The river views by the deck is spectacular! It was so relaxing hanging out and listening to the sound of river. We even saw family of deer crossing the river. The owner is very kind and accommodating. Communication with the owner is great. The neighbors are friendly. We highly recommend this cabin. If we visit Oregon again, we will definitely stay at this lovely house by the river. Thank you so much Dixon! Soothing getaway
My partner and I had such a relaxing, soothing weekend getaway at this amazing cabin right on the Salmon River. The view and sounds of rushing water did healing wonders on my soul. The house itself was very clean, well-stocked, and organized with labels on drawers and cabinets for easy location of items. There was plenty of room with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms; we could have easily accommodated another two people and not felt cramped. On our last day, Dixon graciously accommodated us with a late checkout so we could soak up the glory of nature a little longer from the deck. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our restorative weekend.

Some places are houses, the Rauch cabin is a home, the feel of a home. Being on the Salmon river is neat, but special so this time of year with the fish moving upstream. Highly recommend. Thank you to the Rauch family
