"Great house to stay at but a car is essential if you plan on a lot of exploring and for local shopping. Local bus stop just around the corner for both directions and Vallandar is around a 30 minute walk away or nearest city of Koblenz (which is wunderbar!) is a 30 minute bus trip. "The house was a perfect place to spread out and relax, while exploring the Rhine by car and boat. The paid parking lot was very convenient to the lodging (once we discovered the shortcut under the road and up some stairs). We didn’t take advantage of the sauna or the jacuzzi tub, but the washer and full kitchen was perfect. I was surprised to find that the bed on the top floor was a waterbed—I slept like a baby.
