Best cabin ever!
Best cabin ever. Hosts are kind, engaged, and very welcoming. Accommodations are very comfortable and pristine. There is no better view off the deck or out the bedroom window. If you can't find what you need here, you don't need it.

Well-stocked home with gorgeous views
We very much enjoyed our stay at Turning Point Cabin. Owners, Jeff and Deb, were beyond hospitable... having stocked the house with any supply you could imagine needing, all labeled for easy access, and communicating with us thoroughly throughout our booking process and stay. The house is clean and modern and the views from the porch were perfect to enjoy with coffee or a glass of wine. Thanks for a great weekend, Jeff and Deb!

Mountain family retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy cabin up in the mountains near Maggie Valley! It was more than large enough for our family of 5 (two adults, kids ages 6, 9, 11) and the cabin was VERY well decked out for family fun with tons of games, books and two tvs (set up for streaming) in different parts of the cabin. The cabin itself was spotless when we checked in; the kitchen was the best stocked rental house we’ve EVER stayed in, and the views from the porch while quietly sipping my morning coffee couldn’t be beat! I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the cabin to its fullest- it is almost a destination for relaxation in and of itself!

Majestic! Fantastic (understatement!) cabin with adventures nearby!
From the moment we walked in the door seeing the whimsical mud room and an amazing country kitchen around the bend, we were in love with Turning Point! The views are breathtaking. Morning coffee on the covered porch. Wine and cheese on the lower deck spilling over to the fire pit area. Games and puzzles on the massive great room table. Comfy beds and incredible bathrooms - one with a window IN the shower! Details, details, delightful details. The Maggie Valley area near Waynesville has such terrific eateries, breweries, hikes, waterfalls, shops andddd many great locations to enjoy sunsets! The Blue Ridge Parkway is very accessible. The sunrises were spectacular from the loft and the covered porch of Turning Point. We will be back!

Perfect mountain getaway in Maggie Valley
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cozy cabin in Maggie Valley, and it was an unforgettable fall retreat. The views were absolutely stunning, with vibrant autumn foliage all around, making every glance outside a real treat. The cabin was well-maintained and thoughtfully decorated, capturing that rustic charm while providing all the modern comforts. The kitchen was a standout feature — fully equipped with everything you’d need for a home-cooked meal. From high-quality cookware to all the necessary utensils, it felt like cooking at home, but with a view of the mountains! It was great for cozy breakfasts, with plenty of space to prepare meals if you wanted to stay in.The cabin’s location was perfect, nestled in a quiet area but still close to nearby trails and attractions in Maggie Valley. Whether you’re looking to explore the Great Smoky Mountains, enjoy local restaurants, or just relax by the fireplace, this cabin offers the best of both relaxation and adventure. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful mountain escape, especially in the beautiful fall season!

Loved it!
Turning Point cabin was the perfect place to unplug for a long weekend. What struck us - besides the beautiful sunrises on the porch - was how clean everything appeared. No dust accumulated on items and the home had a welcoming feel. We also appreciated the surround sound and outdoor speakers, as we're big music fans. If you're there to hike, you'll have to drive a bit to get to the trails but if you're looking for seclusion and peace, too, this is it! Thank you, Deb, for being a truly wonderful host. If it wasn't such a long drive from our NC coast we'd be back on a regular basis :)

Extra special cabin
Our family has stayed in mountain cabins at least 7 times. Always nice, but this cabin was extra special. Every aspect of the decor was tastefully done, and a cut above expected. Comfortable seating inside for relaxing and meals. Coffee on the porch in the morning was delightful. We especially liked the library in the loft and all the information about the area was used and appreciated. The kitchen was loaded with everything you could need. My husband was so pleased to find truly sharp knives for his use. (He’s the cook.) The cabin has easy access to the main roads and not too far to grocery shopping

Just perfect!
We loved staying at the cabin - the sunrise view, the lookout across the valley, the quiet evening at the firepit, and relaxing inside after hikes and exploration. Sitting on the porch in the morning and having a hummingbird hang out with us was a lovely moment. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need and more. If you like firm mattresses, you will have no trouble sleeping - the bed downstairs is softer, so that's an option. Jeff and Deb are great hosts - gift basket, excellent communication and thoughtful notes + information, definitely made us feel welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great View Great Amenities
One of the best homes I've rented in The Great Smoky Mountains in the past 20 years of visiting. The home was stocked with everything you can imagine. Jeff and Deb were very helpful during our stay for 5 nights. The views were exactly as described in the details of the property. However, there are three things I would like to point out that some may be concerned with. The first is the mattresses are very firm. A thick pillow topper maybe an accessory for some guest. The second is the access road to the cabin is quite steep (varying 8 to 10 degrees in sections of the gravel road leading to the cabin) some sections is paved but transitions to gravel. A four wheel drive is a must in the winter months. The last thing is the Cameras. Yes, there are a total of 8 cameras covering the every angle of the property. Some facing outward and inward towards the "Parking Area". One of the cameras facing the parking area is a Game Camera. There are two cameras facing the fire pit area (one on the lower level and one on the upper area). I believe in security and the rights of the property owners to monitor their investment but I believe this is over the top. Some people may disagree. Overall, this is a beautiful property but may not appeal to others based on these items.

Turning Point Cabin - Fantastic Destination
A beautiful cabin with amazing mountain views out every window. Deb and Jeff have completely stocked the kitchen with everything you will need including morning coffee, (espresso, if you prefer), teas, condiments, utensils and appliances. Their organized instructions and communication style make it easy to immediately relax and start enjoying your vacation. They have thought of everything from places to go, things to see and restaurants to enjoy. And for evening entertainment there are games and puzzles to pass the time. There is a beautiful wrap around deck with BBQ Grill. There's a fire pit with kindling and even the necessary ingredients for s'mores. This is the ultimate mountain vacation. We highly recommend it.

Awesome views
What a peaceful setting! Great place to relax if you want or perfectly located for adventure. This cabin is spacious and comes equipped with anything you might need. There are incredible views all around- even saw a rainbow on our last morning! Deb provides detailed information about the cabin and surrounding areas. She was very responsive and helpful. I’d love to go back.

Absolutely Amazing!
This property was beyond amazing. From the clear communication from Debbie to the mountain views and everything in between. The kitchen is fully stocked, and I mean FULLY STOCKED. There's a ton of cooking spices, sugar, coffee pods, tea, water, condiments, and every kitchen utensil you'll ever need. The views are breath taking and the property is exactly as it's pictured. We almost stopped at a welcome center before getting to the Cabin so we can plan out our week and I'm so glad we didn't because Debbie has her own welcome center on the Kitchen buffet cabinet with TONS of pamphlets of things to do in and around Waynesville/Maggie Valley. She even had a welcome basket with wine and goodies for the kids (which they loved)! There are also baskets full of board games and puzzles. Their bathrooms are stocked with shampoo/conditioner, qtips, cotton balls, mouthwash...everything. They really have thought of everything to help guest feel welcome. My kids were so bummed that we had to leave. They asked us numerous times to extend our vacation. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Settlers Ridge. Do not look any further, this place was magical!

Beautiful cabin in beautiful location
Wonderful experience. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and seem to have thought of everything from making sure checkin was easy to leaving notes around the house with answers to common questions. The location was stunning as was the house itself. We loved using the grill on the deck.

What every vacation rental should be like
This property feels like home. Other commenters speak to how well stocked it is; how comfortable it is; how quiet it is; how close to where you want to be in the mountains but without the bustle of it all; Turning Point Cabin has it all. It will exceed your expectations. With another couple we visited in mid-October as the colors were peaking and it was gorgeous. We also had a few days of heavy rain, but with good internet, a stocked library, and a covered porch, no cares. If you want to challenge yourself, walk to the top of the hill. It would be wise to schedule your arrival before dark as GPS will trick you 100 yards from the community entrance.

Perfect stay in the mountains
We were two couples who drove up for a fall weekend in the mountains and had a great experience. The house is as pictured with great amenities, high quality finishes, and a great view and fire pit to enjoy. Located close enough to stores to get what you need but also remote enough to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Enjoyed a couple of hikes around the area and spending time together relaxing at the house. Would definitely recommend!

Cabin Review
This cabin was incredible! Perfect for our family of 4! The views are breathtaking! Loved the complimentary s’mores by the fire as a family with the smoky mountain sunset. Close to many activities and scenic drives. The cabin was totally stocked with everything you can imagine you’d ever need or want on vacation! The owners have gone above and beyond to make the cabin accommodating for young children and adults both. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Mountain paradise for a memorable family time
We travelled as a 3-generation family to the mountains to celebrate an 80th birthday and a 2nd birthday. This cabin was the perfect place for a relaxed family time. This beautiful home was well stocked with everything we needed, was sparkling clean, and the deck offered a breathtaking view. We also enjoyed the yard and the fire pit. The location was private but close to town and many attractions. Excellent communication prior to arrival, at check-in and check-out made the process smooth and welcoming. This cabin felt like home and we will highly recommend it to friends and love to visit again soon.

Terrific getaway location.
This was probably the best stocked vrbo we ever stayed in. They thought of all kinds of details like extra soaps, body lotions, flashlights, Keurig and Nespresso coffee choices, fondue, waffle maker. The facilities were up-to-date. They even left us a welcome Gift. Very very complete and thoughtful.

Beautiful property
Beautiful property and great communication with property owner. Its evident that they really care about this home (it shows!!). The driveway is a little scary as we arrived at night and it was questionable as to whether we'd make it back out with a loaded up van (its steep but we made it out in low gear). I would recommend driving in during daylight if you're not used to driving in the mountains. We would absolutely stay again. Our whole family loved it!
