We've been taking our adventure husky on an annual fall hiking trip for years using VRBO, so finding dog friendly properties is a must. This property was dog friendly and centrally located to both Waterbury and Stowe. We also stopped into Montpelier and Burlington, which are easily accessible from the highway (the entrance to the highway is at Waterbury). We loved the old farmhouse wooden floors, and the backyard was just gorgeous with all the fall foliage. There is a firepit and the property managers were very kind to bring us a load of wood so we could enjoy sitting around the fire in the cool evenings. Only my husband and I stayed, so I can't speak to the other bedrooms, but I opted to sleep in the bedroom off the dining/kitchen area and it was comfortable (I'm a light sleeper, so the traffic noise of busy rt 100 was a little too much for me to use the master in the front). The property managers were very responsive and constantly kept in touch via text, which was nice. The only problem we experienced during the stay was spotty internet, which made it difficult to work in the evenings (which I had to do as a teacher). But that issue was not really anyone's fault. Sometimes equipment just goes bad and needs fixing. Once the technician came, there were no internet issues. We'd definitely stay again!
