Relaxing cabin settled back in the woods!
We enjoyed staying at the Black Bear Abode. House was clean and very inviting. Heads up though, there are no washcloths and only a couple of towels in each bathroom. Also, we ran out of toilet paper and had to buy some. Beds were very soft and pillows were very thin. Just expected more for the cost we psid.

Cozy cabin, cleanliness needs improvement
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin, and loved the wood stove and proximity to Hatcher Pass. Cleanliness could use a lot of work, as we found a lot of dust and debris around, including a piece of used dental floss on the bedside table of the primary bedroom -- yuck. Communication was spotty at best with slow or no replies, and the check-in process was unclear/difficult to find in the app which made for a stressful arrival. Overall, I would recommend the cabin, but recommend to the host to give some more attention to cleanliness and communication. I also would *not* recommend this house for those traveling with 3+ adults like we were. Two of the beds are more fit for children, and all three were incredibly soft and uncomfortable. We had poor sleep on our trip, so be warned if you like a firm mattress.

Vacasa
When I arrived, I hadn’t received an email giving me the code. I had to call the at midnight. no lights on outside, which made it hard to see. I took my shoes off, and as I walked across the carpet, there were pieces of dog food all over the carpet. I picked up 40 to 50 pieces I have pics. The bed was very uncomfortable mattress was cheap and squishy. My back hurt the whole week. I called the PM in the morning to come and take care of the floors. There was stuff all over the floors by & under-the beds, when my daughters arrived, I went upstairs the beds were the same with the mushy mattress, a double for the one room, and a twin on a cot that moved across the room I was in the bedroom underneath where she was and every time she moved. It was very loud and woke me up , the property was listed at 2900 ft.² it was maybe 2000 ft.² they included the basement in the sf. I checked on Zillow. the Internet code and login on the website was wrong took a couple days to figure out after opening their book refrigerator had fingerprints and food on the handle and on the door there was a spiderweb in spider on the kleenex. Pillows were cheap and thin. I have stayed at VRBO properties and have never had this problem. Why did it go to a company called LVacasa. I am not happy. Left a day early once I was able to get a hotel room and would like a refund due to faulty advertising.

Home away from home
Lots of small items available in the house incase you forgot something important. Even dog bowls, balls to play with and a small kennel.

Nice Area and Cabin but needed cleaning
We liked the location and the cabin. It served our purposes. It was, however, just a little sketchy on the bathroom items (no washcloths) and was not recently vacuumed. We found all sorts of small debris on the floor. Everything from M&M's to googly eyes off of a child's toy. If the owner is paying for cleaning they are not getting their money's worth. The fact that you had to go through Vacasa with any requests (they did nothing at all to help on any issue) just made the interactions even more difficult. It was a swing and a miss.
