Stunning Home on Capitol Hill

Enjoy a peaceful stay in my historic home with a newly renovated interior, just a few blocks from the National Mall, Eastern Market, and Capitol Building. I live in the heart of Capitol Hill, a stunning (and safe) neighborhood surrounded by some of the best restaurants, markets, and transportation hubs in the city. You will have exclusive use of the spaces in this listing, but I will also be on the property (in a separate unit with a separate entrance and no interior connection).

This is a beautiful residence in a fantastic location with outstanding guest reviews. But before you book, please note the following to ensure my home is a good fit: (1) This rental is only for guests looking for a relatively quiet stay. (2) Parties and events of any size are strictly prohibited and quiet hours commence at 10PM. (3) Maximum occupancy (including the outdoor space) is limited at all times to the number of individuals on your reservation (no visitors) unless you've obtained prior approval. (4) The staircase is steep. (5) Please review all House Rules prior to booking.

This elegant two-story unit has two bedrooms and two and a half baths with a recently renovated master bathroom and kitchen containing new appliances and fixtures. There is also a queen size air mattress, for a total of up to six guests (no more than four adults). The space is ideal for working remotely, with incredibly fast Fios WiFi (speeds up to 1000 Mbps) and two comfortable and bright office areas. The deck, large kitchen, and in-unit washer/dryer also make the home perfect for extended stays, which are discounted.

The unit is fully equipped:
• Premium sheets, blankets, towels, toiletries, and laundry supplies
• In-unit washer and dryer
• Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and much more
• Brand new stainless steel appliances: microwave, toaster, refrigerator, gas stove, and oven
• Nespresso machine, OXO coffee maker, French press, and an assortment of teas
• Queen beds with premium mattresses and bedding in both bedrooms
• Two full bathrooms (one with a tub) on the second floor; half bath on first floor
• 65" QLED TV in the living room and LCD TV in the master, both with YouTubeTV (cable) and access to Netflix, Prime, AppleTV, and HBO accounts
• Extremely cozy outdoor space with string lights, bench, and chairs
• Hair dryer, iron, and clothes steamer
• Central air with smart thermostat (EcoBee)
• Two hour street parking during the week; unlimited street parking on nights and weekends. Longer term parking in the area can be located and reserved using sites such as Parkwhiz, SpotHero, and various others.

Guests do not have unrestricted access to the entire property but do have exclusive use of the unit described and photographed in this listing.

Modern classy condo, great location!
My folks and I stayed for a few days in this beautiful condo. Nicely decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. The location is perfect for walking to the Capitol and other DC sights. Great, quiet stay
We had a great stay in Eastern Market. Chris made sure we got in okay and was available and very responsive throughout the stay. The house was very spacious, clean, and well stocked, especially the kitchen. Living area was very comfy. Grocery (Trader Joe's) and Eastern Market metro were about a 10 minute walk away. We were there with our 8 month old and 2.5 year old kids and stairs were not a problem at all.

Beautiful house
This house was perfect. It's in a lovely neighborhood very near the Library of Congress, and within walking distance to Eastern Market and the Washington Mall. The house itself is very pretty, updated, with lots of things to make your stay easier like toiletries and laundry supplies. The TV is nice and big, and logged into streaming services. We enjoyed our stay here very much and had no issues at all. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully renovated townhouse in a great location
This is a recently renovated townhouse in a perfect location for sightseeing in DC, about a 10-minute walk to the Eastern Market metro and about 15 minutes to the Capitol. The property has nice high ceilings, hardwood floors, and lots of natural light. The living room with a view of the street is a great place to relax after a day of walking the Mall or touring museums. Our host, Chris, made check-in and check-out very easy and kept in touch throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Great DC House and Location
We came to DC with our three grandsons ages 10 and 11. Chris’s home was perfectly located in a quiet residential area in Capitol Hill. Just blocks from the Eastern Market metro station, it was so easy to get to all the sights plus dinner options. Our boys navigated the neighborhood so easily. The house was great. Everything we needed for a lovely stay. Very clean. Chris made checkin so easy. His house was well stocked with linens, towels, and toiletries. We didn’t cook meals there since we wanted to take advantage of the great restaurants nearby, however the kitchen was great. Would definitely stay there again! Thanks Chris!

I can't wait to go back!
I absolutely loved Chris' home on 6th St. Coming from CA, my children truly enjoyed walking around the streets and seeing the old homes. Its a charming neighborhood. The metro is very easy to access, great restaurants blocks away, and a nice safe neighborhood. The house was very clean. We were welcomed with fresh flowers. The kitchen is well appointed; not like other homes with a sad mix of plates, cutlery, and cups. The rooms were very spacious. The bathrooms were updated and in great condition. There is not one thing to complain about. Whenever I needed to ask Chris a question, he was quick to respond and very accommodating. Honestly, this was our best house rental as a family. We were so sad to leave but know we will be back. Thank you again Chris for sharing your home. It was a true delight.

Washington DC Visit
My sister and I spent 6 nights staying at this beautiful home. It is central to everything that we wanted to do. Just about everything was within a 2-3 miles radius with most places within 1 mile. The home is clean and nice and we had no issues. The host, Chris, was wonderful and very helpful when we needed him.
