Pros: the house and parking situation is as described. Parking in DC is tight as expected. We were grateful to have a parking spot even if it's a bit tight (we had a minivan). The location is great, less than 0.5 mi from US Capitol. We took a quick stroll there which was nice.
The 2 bedrooms are big, one has a comfortable king size bed (which was a surprise for us or may be I forgot that in the description). There is a queen size airbed that also fit well in that same room. Our daughter (who likes to kick when she's sleeping) ended up on that. It was perfect! The other room has a comfortable queen size bed. The living room queen size pull-out couch is also comfortable. One bathroom is a little challenging BUT it's clean, and we managed. The kitchen is efficient, has all the plates, utensil, pots & pans. Love the coffee area w/ an espresso machine, a 10-cup coffee maker, and a Keurig. There was ample supplies for coffee. I was in my own heaven (as any coffee drinker would be).
Cons: the house is located at an intersection, so it's a little challenging to back out of the driveway (if you have a 2nd person to act as your traffic controller, you'll be all set). There was only coffee supplies at the house. No other spices, not even salt & black pepper. I bought salt and an can of olive oil spray to make eggs for breakfast, and I left them there. Hopefully, as more people come, the kitchen will accumulate some basic spice for simple/quick cooking.
Overall, we love the place. It was nice to be in the middle of DC. If we need to stay in DC again, we'd definitely come back. Thank you for offering your place to us.
