"Cozy home set against incredible scenery—it was a wonderful drive through the canyons. Home was well stocked. We visited the Dalles by day and listened to records, played board games, and star gazed at night. There was lack of communication on an aspect of the listing, but host was able to resolve it right away (thank you!). In general, super cute for a getaway. Highly recommend!"

"My family has stayed at this gorgeous house several times. The location is perfect for us, the view is amazing and the house itself is well maintained and lovely. The owner has recently added a new sofa which makes hanging out in the living room much more comfortable! Highly recommend this house for a vacation stay!"

"We stayed here for a wedding in the area. The beds were comfy, had everything we needed. Shampoo/cond/body wash in showers. Wood stove was nice. Saw deer. Look forward to coming back in the summer for the pool and more outdoor activities. The host was responsive and kind. We loved our stay here"

"We didn’t know there was a bed in the boiler laundry room. The place was nice and clean. The kitchen had everything needed for a meal. We couldn’t figure out how the shower head turns on. Had to look the faucet type in Google. lol pretty interesting idea. "

"Renter beware!!! This home is surrounded by what I can only describe as Meth houses.. The host was impossible to reach and gave us inaccurate instructions to obtain the keys to the home. There is zero cell reception, so we were at the mercy of someone checking on us to make sure we arrived. After waiting quite some time the host showed up and gave us a generic code to obtain the house keys. As we unloaded our luggage, the host follows us in the home with her three dogs who ran through the house...

"This was the second time I rented this property. The first time was December 2022 and it was a little messy back then but I thought it was due to the weather (snow). Not everything was bad, but this time was not as good as the first time at all we’re charge the cleaning fee when we have to completely strip down all linens and put them in a pile and we also have to basically leave the house spotless, right? Well when you come in there it’s dirty, it looks like nobody has mopped like underneath...

"The house in the pines was a fantasic stay. I would sit and look out those windows for hours. We had amazing sunrise and sunsets this trip! The beds were comfy and loved the layout of the house. We had a few things come up and Jacob was responsive. Though one couldnt be fixed during our stay, it was easy to make contact with him. This house will be on our radar next time we come visit. "
