The Granary is located just three miles west of Warm Springs on the grounds of Fort Dinwiddie Farm, hundreds of acres of open meadows, shady forests, breathtaking vistas and over a mile of private fishing on The Jackson River, Virginia's finest trout river. A stay at The Granary is an outdoor enthusiast's oasis with miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking and exclusive river access for the fly-fisherman of all skill levels.
Originally built as a barn in 1895, The Granary has been beautifully transformed into a wonderful summer home with gorgeous views of the mountains, river and meadows that surround it. The home is the perfect retreat, sleeping up to 6 guests. The main floor has a full kitchen with breakfast nook and a beautifully carved dining table that can seat the entire houseful. There are two bedrooms on this level that share a full bath- one with a queen bed the other with two twin beds. Upstairs is the Great Room with cathedral ceiling with a cozy wood stove and table for dining, games or conversation while taking in the spectacular view. The third bedroom is on this level with a queen bed and newly renovate bath with large shower. The Great Room has a flat screen TV outfitted with ROKU for a wide variety of streaming channels along with ability for guests to log in to their own personal premium streaming services.
The spacious deck is comfortably furnished for lounging, dining and enjoying the amazing view. The home is pet friendly with an additional $75 pet fee - one dog only, please.
Fly-fishing is open to all guests for catch and release. There are no additional rod fees. No spin rods, please.
