On arrival there was on one in the office. It was about 1.30pm and we realized that we were early. We returned about 2pm and Michelle drove in a few minutes later. Michelle was lovely and she just mentioned that check in was 3pm. I told her that no check in time was mentioned on my paperwork. It was not a problem for Michelle and she even gave us an upgrade to a lovely suite. The suite consisted of a huge bedroom with full length glass doors and views to the mountains. The doors also opened onto a beautiful garden area. The room had a table and two chairs, a two seat lounge, TV, DVD player, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. There was a very large bathroom. This suite had undercover parking right at the door. Michelle recommended and made a booking for dinner for us at a very good Italian Restaurant in town.
We met Craig at breakfast the next morning. They were both preparing breakfast when there was a power blackout. Craig just started up his backup generator and power was restored. The breakfast was fantastic with choices of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt etc. Michelle cooked a hot breakfast of your choice. Toast, fresh tea and coffee were brought to the table.
We highly recommend the Alpine View Lodge.
