Located in a perfect location near the lake, local shops, and great restaurants in the village, this historic, 19th-century home - a true original in Walloon village - is ideal for a romantic getaway for two or a solo adventure. Inside, you'll find white shiplap walls and ceilings, sunlit spaces, and all the amenities you'll need for a relaxing time away. Prepare your favorite recipes in the compact, but well-equipped kitchen, dine at the table for two, and then settle into the front living area and stream your favorite TV channels. Out front, relax on the porch swing and watch the world go by, or head out back to dine on the deck.

Nice, but…
Overall, a nice stay and a cute place but for the following: 1) even with a whole house H-Vac system, a wall AC unit, and ceiling fans running at full speed, it took three days for the house to cool from 85 to 71 degrees; 2) an infestation of midges and fruitflies in the lower level bathroom; 3) a very sensitive and fragile septic system, wherein the toilet waste has to pump uphill into the tank; 4) zero actual help from either Vacasa or the property owner on the cooling issue; and 5) a very stubborn key pad lock whse buttons would not operate if not held down in a certain way (on one occasion it took 20 minutes of trying to get the door unlocked. As a result, if these items would be a problem for you, do not rent. I was gone most of five days at a conference, and am not requesting a refund of any kind. But in combination, these issues may be problematic for others.

Lake daze
House was perfect but took us an hour to get into house. Vacasa customer service was not easy.. they hung up on use three times, transferred us to someone who doesn’t even work with them (crying kids in background) Problem: light was on the by the front door only with a key box.. code did not work and we got there late in the evening … after an hour of getting hung up on and calling back we finally got in touch with someone and they said go to back door (no light on) and there was a lock box there… either take off the lock box for the front and turn off light, text us when texting the code to enter the back door and leave light on the back door… would really help in the future. As for the home itself it was perfect!

Delightful
Walloon Lake and this property in particular are delightful. Our stay at the end of the summer was quiet and so lovely. The communication provided by the property manager Vacasa was clear and constant. There was such an attention to detail: there was even sugar in the canister next to the coffee maker. The living space on the first floor (living room, kitchen and outdoor patio) was perfect. The bedroom and bathroom on the lower level were cozy and super clean. This property is a few steps away from "town". We didn't stay long enough to use the fire pit but it was all set up for us and beckoned invitingly. I used some tomatoes from the garden. We enjoyed the stillness, wandered into town for lovely dinners (and ice cream!), took an electric boat charter around the lake. It was a wonderful stay.

A Great little House

Cozy & Charming Cottage!
I had such a wonderfully relaxing two night stay at this adorable rental. The house was bright, clean, and comfortable. Perfect Getaway
Lake Daze is the perfect place to be your home port when you are trailering a boat around northern Michigan. We toured Walloon Lake, Lake Charlevoix, and even went to Beaver Island. Lake Daze was clean and comfortable. A perfect location to walk to dinner and shopping. Eating in was delightful as well with the kitchen containing everything we needed, and a grocery store in walking distance. Thank you!

Wonderful Little House- Perfect for day-tripping all over.
This was the most amazing little home for our getaway. The house was spotless and well-appointed. The location was amazing. There was nothing that I would be able to suggest to improve it at all. I am so glad we chose it. Perfect for a couple, with a lovely little kitchen so we did not blow all our money on restaurants. We were able to make picnic lunches for our day trips to the UP/Sault St. Marie, Mackinaw, Petoskey, Traverse City, Antiquing, Cider-Mill and Vineyard hopping, and rock hounding. Shopping was close by for provisions. There were restaurants if we wanted a break from cooking. It was perfect. I could not have asked for a nicer break. I will be back. LOVED IT!

Iovely little home
We loved it. It had a fresh look and great design work throughout the home. It's walking distance to the town of Walloon Lake which was so great and you can get anywhere quite quickly. The bed slept great and the bathroom was super nice. Back patio was private and even had a nice fireplace area. Our fav was anging out on the spacious front porch. We will definitely be staying here again and again!
