Country
Lovely old property and nice a tidy but we were unable to find the pool which it had listed. We just generally felt the property was over priced.

Great place to get away
We really enjoyed the stay in this area. Its a great spot being close to the beach and close to a town. We did a day trip to Hastings to take kids to Splash planet. A really cosy and homely farm stay with an amazing bird call at 5am every morning that's sounded so beautiful. We all woke up to this amazing bird call each day. Lovely hosts, made us feel welcomed and looked after. Highly recommend staying here. Would come back again one day.

Amazing
This place was absolutely amazing and I feel like we should have been charged way more and that weve shortchanged Jess and family because its so cheap. Jess had the fire going and the place was warm and welcoming when we arrived late. Our only regret is staying only one night and are already planning to come back for a long weekend or holiday to experience the rest. Thanks

Short and great
I could only stay a short time but it was great to be able to stay there for that period. Its a nice setting on a farm with sheep around and no other houses with people to disrupt your privacy. Two fires and all you need in terms of comfortable satisfying household facilities

Beautiful location, lovely cottage
We had a lovely few nights at Long Island. It gets cold in the area, but there was plenty of firewood. Beds are super comfy, kitchen is well-equipped. Highly recommended.

Relaxing and rustic- kids LOVED it!
We have had the most relaxing stay here at this beautiful rustic farmhouse. Not too far away from the town and the beach, it is perfect to explore the local countryside. The farmhouse has a wetland close by filled with birds, which was so much fun to watch from the garden. Lots of wild rabbits came to visit too, and enjoy the veggie scraps we left. Jess is a very warm and attentive host, freshly baked cookies for when we arrived and she invited us to her farm to meet the ponies and feed the pigs. My kids, 2 and 5- thought this was great! Cows and peacocks surrounded us and there was always something to do, pine cone collecting or searching for walnuts- we easily could have stayed longer. This is a kid’s paradise, much to explore, a playhouse outside, dvds and toys too. I would recommend this wholeheartedly for families looking for quiet, peace and a chance to reconnect with one another. We leave today feeling totally relaxed! Thank you Jess. :-)

Wonderfully relaxing and peaceful
Our family of four booked the cottage for two nights but stayed for three but we would happily have stayed for longer! The cottage was cozy, light filled and in a beautiful setting. When we arrived the lambs, miniature horse and bunny was waiting to greet us, my kids were over the moon! Jess couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and we felt very much at home. I would absolutely recommend this lovely place, we hope to visit again.

Fantastic family farm holiday destination - and close to the beach too!!!!
Cute farm cottage with three great sized bedrooms, new kitchen, cosy lounge and awesome location. Great hosts, very friendly animals and only a few kilometres to Porangahau Beach. Perfect holiday destination for a young family with loads to see and do and an awesome rural farm location. Thank you Jess for making our stay so special 😊😊😊
