Lovely welcome family run hotel. Absolutely spotlessly clean with a nice restaurant. Easy access to lots of walks from the hotel. Will hopefully stay again

Excellent place to stay. Great scenery
Loved the location and the hotel. Great restaurant on the property and excellent buffet breakfast. Excellent value and easy to get to. Not far from Freiburg. Would definitely return. Easy parking.

An excellent hotel with a very good restaurant and a comprehensive buffet breakfast. Free bus/rail tickets are provided and cover a large area with a very efficient service.

Nice Cozy Hotel
Staff was very nice. We were able to check in after hours and get in around 1:00 in the morning by ringing the doorbell. Had an issue with the shower, but they fixed it while we were out of the room for the day. Great cozy stay!

Great hotel, OK restaurant
Hotel was great, room was very big and had plenty of beds. Breakfast was excellent as well. The jacuzzi was cold for some reason, but the sauna was very nice. The restaurant was unfortunately understaffed and it took over an hour just to order a drink. All-in-all, it was a nice stay though.

A Family Trip
We enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast buffet was descent, but there were days that the produce could have been fresher. When it was time to check out, the desk was not manned and we had to wait to locate someone to check us out. During our four day stay, we noticed that this was a daily occurrence.

A strange German meal experience
Finally arriving at the hotel on a nice sunny evening from a 400km ride , the place looked good we enter but the reception looked odd bar/eating orders we wait for assistance dressed in German garments we get attended go through a glassed passage towards a better small reception. In the room basic double bed and a single bed, balcony table and chairs with a flashing main light ,decent shower area. We go to the rear outside garden looking very nice with trees around . The waitress was old women looking grumpy and did not want to be there, maybe family. The waitress recommended we think steak so the boys have one each and had chicken salad , not understanding we ask for ice its not easy ,the salad comes warm with warm strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, we laugh then the boys get there steak with strawberries it has to be a joke. It was a laugh had more beers before we retire. Seem to sleep okay had a continental breakfast which is always nice ,bikes in a garage get our gear on and start our next section of trip.

From my arrival to departure, whatever I asked for was immediately provided It was like home from home It was set in a wonderful Village well placed with fantastic scenery to explore the meals were typically German dishes and very generous portions It is a hotel I hope someday to visit again

Neat hotel with a warm atmosphere
The stay was for one week during my visits to a local business. When I arrived the greeting at the reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful for my stay. As I arrived by train/bus, the free local transportation ticket I received was very nice indeed. The area is quite rural and one would probably do well when arriving by car as the accessibility by bus is limited. Nevertheless the area is beautiful, people are friendly and the possibility to explore the Kaiserstuhl, Black Forest and Freiburg, all are in reach within less of an hour, that hotel location is a price worthy really central place to enjoy! Rooms are very clean and the breakfast bar did cater to my personal needs very well, too.

Brief overnight stay for work. Hotel staff were very accommodating considering my 2am check in and even brought out a breakfast for me after I turned up an hour past the breakfast hours! Lovely considerate staff, comfortable, clean rooms. What more do you need?

Black Forspest Stay
My wife and i chose to stay here for one night on our swing through the Black Forest. The owners were great and we would stay there again. Good restaurant for our evening meal and good breakfast too. Owner speaks great English.

Quiet and relaxing
Off the main highway near Waldkirch, it was quiet, simple and a very nice stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent. And the room very clean. Close to the train station to take you into Freiburg, so much easier than finding a parking place.

Basic Hotel, with a good restaurant. Parking good, Wifi available but only in reception, would be better in room. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge would be good. Bus service out front takes you into town which is easy and costs nothing for visitors which is a good service.
