lovely peaceful old world place. Beautiful grounds. If you are looking for the antithesis of the high rise tourist hotel, this is it! The black sand beach is great for walking or riding horseback, but not swimable. ( the pool is popular) We loved sitting on our porch in the morning looking at the ocean hearing the birds. And watching the sunsets in the hammocks or lawn chairs was great! Very friendly laid back place. We were disappointed that the restaurant on the grounds wasnā€™t better and there werenā€™t many options nearby.

Adorable cottages. Definitely a throwback to a quieter time. Seems designed to have you stay put and relax. Very close to Waimea shops, 2 restaurants on site, black sand beach and lovely hammocks. They have chairs, umbrellas and coolers for the beach. We enjoyed our stay here while hiking in Waimea Canyon.
