"We would highly recommend this place! The hosts are very friendly, and even dropped us off at a couple of places we were going to. Their wee dog is very sweet. The cottage is extremely comfortable and was well kitted out with all the essentials plus quite a few luxuries! It truly felt like a home away from home. And so quiet. "We were unaware it was only 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds... but worked just fine because the boys had sleeping bags on one bed. Dishwasher was not functioning safely with drawers unable to take weight so we chose to hand wash our dishes. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay."

"It was easy access to the accommodation which was spacious and clean. It was simple and we were comfortable. It is in a good location with a bus stop right outside. Frequent buses go to the city center and we could walk to the beach. I highly recommend this little gem."

"Simple, functional space in a quiet reserved farming area. The cottage had everything we needed, and it was just a short drive to Rangiora. David brought us fresh-baked bread, which was fantastic. We ran into some unexpected health issues and David was extraordinarily kind and helpful."

"It started by being difficult to get a reply from the owner while booking. On arrival,we were not expected. The owner did arrive, apologised for the mix up and made an effort to clean it, but we just wanted to relax after a 4 hour drive on Christmas Eve. He perhaps didn't have enough time to clean properly because every area was dirty from floors, to shower to kitchen items and the fridge had expired food in it. It also felt uncomfortable with personal items: medications in fridge and legal...

"It was a real privilege to stay at Lyddington. The cottage is comfortable and well provisioned, the host amiable and the setting something that Capability Brown could have imagined. It was truly a charming and relaxing time"

"This was a really quaint place. Over looking the old tram way it was really quite unique. Proximity to everything we wanted from our stay was within walking distance. Best part drop off and pick up from the airport via the No29 bus was awesome. cost was $2 each each way. Drop off was right across the street."
