"We loved our stay at The Westin Hapuna Beach. The staff were friendly and welcoming and ready to assist however they could. The rooms and other facilities were clean and updated. We enjoyed the restaurants and food available to us. The only complaint would be between the cost of food and the variety of food. Piko was a very helpful option to keep cost down but each restaurants food options were very similar and that got boring. "

"We stayed here for a more secluded area than the nearby resorts but it was also close to the conference I was attending. The host Kyla was awesome and super nice. Everything was very easy and the house had all the amenities we needed. The local beach was great for our young children and a little general store that was close. The food trucks (malasadas, fruit, coffee, at the highway stop wete also good. I'm short it was the perfect place for our trip!"

"Unit is hot upon entering however as you open up the sliding doors and windows it starts to cool down. The room that's closest to the lanai can be a bit noisy as the cars pass by. You can also hear the occupants on the lower level. Something to keep in mind "

"We love this property! Sipping coffee with the large windows open overlooking the ocean each morning was spectacular. The amenities are outstanding and we love that we could go between both resorts. We also took advantage of golfing. The unit had a wonderful kitchen and living area and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. This was a wonderful getaway!"

"This is a classic beach home. Great views and a short walk to the beach 69 or a 5 minute drive to Hapuna beach. Property is not brand new but we loved the character. It was perfect for our 15 day stay. We will rent this again in the future."

"This home more than met our needs for a family of 7 adults and 1 child.The house was roomy with a great floor plan. We somehow thought we only had 2 bathrooms but actually had 2 and a half as the laundry room with full size washer and dryer also had a sink and toilet. There was also an outdoor shower with 2 showers, they were a bit rustic but our adult children loved them and they were great for dealing with sand after a day at the beach. One of the best parts of renting a house rather than staying in a hotel/resort is the supplies included and this rental didn’t disappoint! There was everything we needed and more! Beach chairs, beach toys, beach mats, fins, masks (just a couple but useful), sun block, spices, and every appliance we needed and more. The kitchen has a great layout and more than enough dishes and pots and pans for our party of 8 with a layout allowing for multiple people in the kitchen at once making food prep easy! Owners were very prompt in responding to our questions before we arrived and taking care of the trash when the can was full as pick up was delayed due to wind. There is Waialea beach only a couple miles away, or less, with wonderful shade trees, and lots of sand for kids. It has easy access, parking is good (small fee) even on the weekend, restrooms available, and we saw fish snorkeling as well. Our 7 year old grandson loved it and the adults loved the snorkeling and shade! Next door to the rental is a store with supplies and rental gear. "

"The condo was larger than the photos make it look. The beds were comfortable, and while there was A/C in the living room only, we did not need to use it during our stay as the windows did a better job of cooling the place. The condo was well stocked with Beach equipment. The location was very convenient for the best sandy beach on the island.limited grocery stores nearby so best to stock up before heading to the condo."

"A group of us (3 couples) just got back from an exemplary weeklong stay at Puako Bay Hideaway. I'm usually too time-pressed to write a review, but I feel compelled to share our experience with other discerning travelers, whom like us, spend an enormous time searching for the perfect vacation home. We've all had experiences where we were seduced, yet deceived, by perfectly staged professional photos. This wasn't the case for Puako Bay Hideaway. In fact, we can honestly say the photos don't do the property justice. What we loved most about this home is how it beautifully captures the spirit of Hawaii around the lanai, the central gathering place that looks out to the most magnificent and breathtaking view of the sea. With a group of our size, there were plenty of places to enjoy together or alone if downtime was needed to work or just chill. Two out of four bedroom have gorgeous sea views but all four have their own unique character and Hawaiian vibe with modern conveniences like superb linens and bedding with extremely comfortable beds. Two of the bedrooms have gorgeous outdoor showers. Even for insomniacs like me, you will get the most comfortable sleep here and wake up blissfully happy and refreshed to the sound of the waves and tropical birds. The kitchen! It really does have everything. We were lucky to have a chef in our group who was able to whip up even the most complicated meals using the state of the art smart ovens and outdoor grill."
