"One of the worst hospitality service ever. Won't get a towel, bedsheet or toiletries. No cleanliness and smelly dusty rooms. No room service. Swimming pool with decayed leaves and house full of mosquitoes. Broken room locks and the bonus is you won't get water in toilet. Needless to say a poor management by owner and totally irresponsible behaviour. Please don't waste your money by looking at beautiful pics of the villa. Save your money for better stay. Even worst hotels will give better...

"Old villa in heart of Colombo , tastefully renovated , quiet and clean . Very comfortable bed , clean kitchen and good food . Mr Asangha Perera and his team at the admin desk were very capable and attentive . He was in touch with us few days before our arrival , and since we were arriving late , took an order and made sure our dinner was delivered on our arrival . "

"Although we arrived late at night, they accommodated us with great care. There are also excellent refrigerators and washing machines, which are recommended for long-term stays. The living room is spacious and the garden is secure. I felt safe. We used tuktuks and taxis, but you can also walk to the train station. There is also a supermarket within 15 minutes. "We walked in an apartment with dust and dirt on the floor, mould behind toilet door, mould on kitchen glass tray. They said this apartment was closed for some time. Housekeeping staff should be trained to check on details. Would not recommend for families who are particular about cleanliness. The management needs to take feedback seriously without giving excuses for lapses."

"Perfect for the start of our holiday. Large apartment with everything needed to prepare own meals (we didn’t as eating out is very inexpensive) and close to a large supermarket. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We walked or used a tuk tuk to everywhere we wanted to visit. Recommended. "

"Property was clean in general, but needs to be maintained. Cupboard was broken, furniture was stained, pool area needs some love too, not inviting at all. Breakfast was generally ok when it arrived on time. Communication online was good but face to face was difficult and we speak the language. Would I stay in this apartment again the answer would be no."

"Very friendly and professional staff, attentive and respectful. It was my birthday and they sent cup cakes upto our room, a lovely touch. Breakfast was fantastic Bedroom was stunning, Overlooking the sea. Clean and with a very comfortable bed. Thankyou Cinnamon Red, we'll be back.😁"

"Room was great. The hotel facilities are ok, but not excellent. Pool is fine, though small. The gym is tiny. Restaurant is ok. A bit too expensive for the food they offer. I stayed twice at this hotel. The first time, I got a very noisy room and I was given a different room the second time, which was not noisy. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying there again."

Outstanding hotel

"This is a truly lovely hotel a calm in the busy city of Colombo. Rooms are beautiful as is the hotel, staff are professional and courteous. Food was lovely and the Sri Lankan breakfast is a must however the English breakfast ie: muffins were not like English muffins at all more cake and not a pleasant experience for breakfast, however I would totally recommend staying here it was a delight. "
