Luxury apartment with stunning views
The Wheat Store is located in a peaceful setting at one end of our traditional Cornish farmhouse. It has stunning views and is newly furnished in a contemporary style. It is ideally located for surfing at Polzeath, sailing at Rock, cycling the Camel Trail and walking the Coastal Footpath. Padstow can be reached by ferry from Rock or by cycling along the edge of the Camel Estuary from Wadebridge. The picturesque fishing village or Port Isaac is only 5 miles away. Because the Wheat Store has central heating and a cosy wood burner it is ideal for short winter breaks as well as summer holidays

We had the most enjoyable week staying in The Wheat Store. The location is perfect, only a short walk to the coastal path. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable.
We would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

A fantastic holiday home with great facilities to ensure a great holiday. The property is peaceful, modern and ideally located to allow full enjoyment of all Polzeath had to offer. A five star apartment in a great location with helpful and accommodating owners - a real hit and we'll be back without doubt.

Perfect place to stay, with stunning views and a great location. Would highly recommend!
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Wheat Store, it has everything inside you could need, plus the charm and surrounds of an ideal location! Clare and Mike made us feel very welcome and were only a stones throw away if needed. I would highly recommend this place to stay and look forward to seeing there other property which is based in Padstow.
Stayed with partner and 2-year old. Beautiful apartment, really spacious, massive bedroom and kitchen plus lovely little garden. About 5 mins drive to centre of Polzeath. Hosts answered all my qs super quickly. Really lovely stay.
Absolute gem of a property set above Polzeath across from a quiet campsite. Views are incredible as is the accommodation which is well equipped in all areas. Lovely private garden with bbq. We are going again!

Great apartment, comfy bed, terrific views, wonderful attractions nearby
We have stayed at many holiday homes all over the world and yours was one of the finest. The sea views, walking on the coast paths nearby and the food and views from Polzeath restaurants were fabulous. And finally, visiting the Eden Project and biking on the Camel Trail were highlights of our trip. Great apartment, great beds, well-supplied kitchen.
We loved staying at Wheatstore for another time.
The apartment provides an excellent base for exploring the area around Polzeath and Rock.
The facilities at Wheatstore provide us with all that we need.
Clare and Mike are always friendly and only too willing to assist in any way that may be required.
We look forward to another visit soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wheatstore at Carruan farm. Polzeath is not only a wonderful coastal area but also a superb area for walking. The Wheatstore provides an ideal base for walking. It also allowed us to experience some varied and fabulous sunsets. The accommodation provided everything that we could have wished for.

A wonderful and clean modern space in a lovely slice of Cornwall
From the moment we arrived to a generous arrival gift of Cornwall clotted cream and scone and Cornish beer, we knew we were in for a restful and relaxing week. Mike and Claire were most generous and kind in making our stay very pleasant. The local beaches and Southwest trails S busy walking four days. This is a terrific location for staying put or doing local day trips to local fishing villages and further a field to lands End. And Saint Ives. We would gladly return again. Thank you Claire and Mike!

Wonderful setting and accommodation
It would be hard to top this apartment in terms of comfort, tasteful renovation and the scene outside the windows -- sheep, pastures, ocean. The welcome spread of scones, jam and local beer was also perfect. If you can tear yourself away, you can walk part of the 600-plus-mile cliff-and-beach footpath along the ocean. We did a few of those miles and the walk was one of our peak vacation moments. We wish we could have stayed longer and seen more of the sights, including Tintagel Castle. Clare was away during our stay but Mike gave us lots of good advice and help. Highly recommended.

A Cornish Gem!
The Wheat Store provided a wonderful bolt hole for our 4 day stay over the Bank holiday. Our hosts, Mike and Clare have identified the need for good quality accommodation available for short breaks. A welcoming complimentary cream tea on arrival was despatched with speed as was the bottle of Doombar sitting on the breakfast bar! Facilities, view and quiet are there in abundance. The Newquay to Port Isaac bus stops at the end of the road - ideal for SWC path walkers. We cooked most nights but ventured out to the nearby (5 minute walk) Carruan Farm shop which provides excellent meals on Fridays (fishy) and Saturdays (meaty) but you need to book. The Wheat store has a lovely garden with BBQ, outdoor surf board/wetsuit facilities and the flat itself has most mod cons including great TV,Wi fi and a lovely comfy big double bed. A clock radio in the bedroom would be a fantastic addition so hopefully Clare will put this in for the next lucky visitor. We will be recommending this little cornish gem!
The apartment was perfect. It was beautifully clean and equipped with everything we needed. Sitting on the comfy sofa or at the dining table, we could admire the views over the fields to the sea. The wood burner was laid ready to be lit but the weather was mild so there was no need.
Clare popped round not long after we arrived to check all was well and she made us feel very welcome, (the beer and biscuits were a lovely touch).
We hope to return again, may be in the summer, when we’d be able to enjoy the apartment’s private garden. It is definitely somewhere we’d recommend staying.
Just a wonderful location, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We love it here - it was our second stay and we shall be back!! Great communication with Claire and both Claire and Mike are superb hosts.
Excellent experience, Clare was so welcoming when we arrived, beautiful spacious apartment, lots of windows to take in the view and sunsets, would definitely stay again
This was our third trip so we knew exactly what to expect. A wonderful apartment close to Polzeath beach and a very helpful and welcoming host couple (Mike and Clare).
The apartment really does provide all the comforts of home together with a wonderful view and fabulous sunsets.
This time we discovered that we could use the bus to avoid the steep walk back from Polzeath. However there is a wide variety of lovely walks to explore, most of which do not have very steep inclines. Our favourite walk is via the golf club to Rock then returning via the coast.
Such a magical journey.
Thanks, Clare for providing such a great spot for us to stay.
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Wheatstore! It is tastefully decorated , spacious and has all the "home from home" comforts that you could possibly need. The sofa is well positioned to make the most of the glorious views down over the fields to the sea - mesmerising and the bed is enormous and very comfortable!! A lovely base to explore that part of the Cornish coast ! Hosts were friendly and accommodating , thank you!
This is the third time that my boyfriend and I have stayed in this property and we love it. It's always clean and tidy and we love the large open living area. The bed is also big and comfy. Always a great stay here!
The Wheatstore is a modern, comfortable and covid clean base with all amenities and good quality. The hosts clare and mike are very helpful and turned out immediately to rectify a minor issue. The views are amazing across the farmland especially at sunset and there are walking routes in most directions as well as cycling at wadebridge along fhe camel estuary which shouldn't be missed. There is also a garden area for use if needed, and to enjoy the peace. We drove out most days to newquay, padstow and tintagel all within easy driving distance, but the nearby Polzeath beach is worth a visit for paddle boarding and lunch at the cracking crab. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend.
The property was in excellent order and spotlessly clean. Due to Covid rules and the poor weather we ate in ..good cooker and enough equipment. Lovely views across the fields to the sea and a beautiful sunset on the night it wasn’t cloudy! Woke each morning to our own blackbird singing his heart out just outside our window..magical. Easy walk down to the beach or up to the golf course via footpaths following directions from the owners. Would certainly reccomend.
