Welcome to The Cactus Casa!

Located across the street from picturesque Lake Waco and just a 15-minute drive to downtown, Magnolia Market, and McLane Stadium, our 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is the perfect retreat. Our home also features a bonus room equipped with a standing desk and formal dining table, ideal for remote work or family meals.

Comfort and Convenience:

- Bedrooms: Two queen beds, one full bed, and one twin rollaway bed comfortably sleep up to 7 adults.
- Family-Friendly: A pack-n-play and high chair are available upon request.
- Spacious Backyard: Enjoy a large backyard perfect for outdoor activities and pets. In July 2024, a new flagstone patio and propane firepit with a seating area were installed. (Pictures coming soon!)
- Updated Interior: Our fully renovated home features modern amenities while maintaining a charming Texas-themed design.

Absolutely perfect!!
We stayed here for family Christmas with our grown children and it was the best time ! The house was spotless, beds super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and the cute house details made our stay even better! Fantastic host and we would rent again any time !

The house appears just as it’s listed. The area is nice and truly 15min from downtown or anything Baylor related. We stayed 5 days and ran out of toilet paper which the homeowner says that “they don’t supply for the whole stay”, which is my only negative.

Very clean property adjacent to Lake Waco
We were very impressed with this spotlessly clean property next to Lake Waco. Another thing we loved was the secure parking inside the gate at the backside of the home and the beautiful shaded yard with the deck.

We enjoyed our stay at this house and it was perfect for us traveling with dogs and two kids under 2! The owner was very responsive. We found the house well stocked and clean. There also were plenty of options to accommodate 5 adults and 2 kids.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cactus Casa....check in was very easy and host was great to communicate with. It was our first trip with the pups and the location couldnt have been more accomidating! My kids loved the added snacks (especially the candy...haha). We had everything we possibly needed. Highly recommend!

Clean home with a great yard.
Everything was as advertised. The house was clean and all amenities were present. During the stay we had a few questions and they were answered quickly. We enjoyed the total eclipse and then had a barbeque out back. Lots of fun and would stay again. Quiet neighborhood-plenty of parking and across the street is Lake Waco with a wonderful walking trail.

Amazing Time!
We came for a girls trip to hang out by the lake and do the winery about 20 min away! This house was perfect because it was in great location to downtown as well. We loved the patio and enjoyed it so much. House in general is very clean and perfectly accommodated our group! Will for sure be looking for this place again if Waco calls us back :)

Very nice place. The beds were super comfortable and the linens and towels were clean and plenty. The backyard was just what we needed. Would have been nice to have some patio furniture but we made do. Property was close to everything. We would definitely consider this property again for a longer stay in Waco.

Avoid The Hotels in Waco And Stay Here
This house was exactly what we were looking for in Waco. We travel to Waco often, usually staying in hotels. We decided to give this VRBO a shot and we were not disappointed. This house is in a nice neighborhood with quick access to Baylor University and downtown Waco. We felt like we were staying with family, like we were at a home away from home. We are checking our travel schedule now to see if we can book this place again!

The home was so welcoming. Special treats waiting for us. I had asked if a blender was on the premises it was not. By the time we arrived she had bought one for us. There is a reason she is a Premier VRBO!

In town for a wedding
Very clean and well-supplied house. Pretty with plenty of natural light. Lots of attention to detail. There were snacks offered and plenty of staples for cooking and coffee-making. Large mirrors in master bed and bath were appreciated as we got ready for our event. There were multiple appliances available, including an iron and even a steamer. Plenty of closet space and hangers. Great location and quiet neighborhood.

Cute Home
The owner did a wonderful job of communicating with us through our entire stay (to include during a 4hr power outage due to a thunderstorm). There are snacks avaliable in the home (popcorn, chips, candy, soda), and the furniture is so cute. You can actually see the lake from the back deck. Some items may be a bit dated (bathroom fan in master makes some wild sounds), the amount of spiders and webs i delt with each morning reminded me a bit of a Stephen King movie, and if you have a long truck, you are not parking out back. But all around this was a great place, incredible location (specific to closeness to downtown), great air conditioning and wonderful views. I was really happy about the quick responses from the owner. She was very easy to work with and as polite as they come.

State Tennis tournament
Needed a place to stay for a tournament. Less than 5 mins from the tournament location, easy access to groceries, clean accommodations and able to bring our pups! Nice to cook at the house and save time/money on eating out.

Wonderful property in Waco
This property was perfect for our needs. We were in Waco for the Half Ironman Triathlon. We had two couples staying here. Great location. Roughly 2 blocks from entrance to the walking/biking trail over the dam at Lake Waco. We will use this property again.
