Vranovská přehrada.
The water reservoir of Vranov (also the Vranov Dam) was built on the river Dyje river near the town of Vranov nad Dyjí in the years 1930-1933. the dam is 60 m high and in length 292 m resulting from the dam is about 30 km long and extends below the Bítov Castle in the Valley Želetavky. By area is the tenth largest in the Czech Republic. The dam is used in addition to the energy and water supply tasks for recreation. Recreation centers are concentrated in the area of Vranov nad Dyjí, Bítov and Podhradí nad Dyjí.

The different Camping sites Are Vranov and Bitov, Vranov Plaz is more suitable for Teeners & Adults because of the Discotheque and many Bars, Bistro's internet cafe, Hotel facilities like massage, sport equipment and restaurants.

However both Camping sites are low budget and reachable by ferry boat who are scheduled every our and also the three Castles at the lake as the villages.

"Wir hatten die Suite gebucht. es war sauber und auch nicht wenig Platz. aber Restaurant war gut und auch das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Unterkunft ist sicher nicht auf dem neuesten Stand weswegen es ein wenig abgelebt gewirkt hat."

"Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir waren 11 Personen und zwei Hunde. Empfang war sehr freundlich und auch der Abschied ging Reibungslos und sehr großzügig von statten. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und ländlich. Ideal zum Wandern, ausruhen und Rad fahren. Aber mit dem Auto kann man gut sehenswertes erreichen. Die Unterkunft hat sehr viel Charm und man sieht die Liebe zum Objekt in vielen Details."

"As a wellness hotel it was very good value and in a nice, quiet area. It was right next to the river Thaya. All facilities were well maintained and great to use. My room (single) had an annoying noise together with a smell of cigarette coming from the bathroom which woke me up during the night.. It took a day and several requests to fix the noise (I stayed 3 nights), but the smell apparently could not be fixed. The problem was that both the noise and smell came from another room through the...

"Penzion Austis is super clean and smells lovely. Breakfast has a lot of options and they all taste wonderful, I most recommend the baked pastries. I will stay here again when I visit Znojmo in the future."

"The hotel is not marked "Grandhotel Sluchátko" but "Zámecký hotel" what makes problem to find it. We passed by several times, before the idea came to ask the staff where the Grandhotel Sluchátko is located. The hotel is in reasonable condition, but the tasteless colorful spray-painted graffiti in parts of the interior negative interfere with the ancient atmosphere, and also some of the hanging paintings do not fit the style of the majority. We slept well. No TV in our room. Good parking. Staff o.k."
